why not just buy the bit kit? comes with like 30 bits and if you don’t want to carry them all swap the one from the skeletool with ones you’d rather carry

2 days I've been trying to figure this out and it took your video though this video is 5 years old it still gives a wealth of information for years to come. I think I was going to go to AutoZone and buy a second Jack or a set of jack stands. You just saved me a ton of money and this is the most common sense logical thing to do you're awesome😊✝️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Wondering if this'll work on a Black Dell laptop. I was trying to remove some adhesive residue from under where a sticker was peeling on the palmrest just left of the touchpad, looked like superglue but I can't recall what I used. Anyway, goo gone 'pro' worked well for wiping off the sticker residue but did little for the presumed super glue. I eventually tried Acetone on it which removed some of it, but also dulled the glossy black plastic which I now know is ABS+PC and is the standard for laptop housings and definitely not resistant to acetone. It didn't really melt it like solvent welding chemicals used for ABS pipes do, mostly just removed the glossy finish (and wiped up as black fine powder) and looks faded in a small area. Will try the heat method first then maybe a spray of gloss clearcoat

Great scientific approach on these questions! I was surprised, though, that you didn’t use a device to measure particulate matter, e.g., an AQI monitor. This would have allowed for you to record the actual amount of smoke particles and specifically how long it takes for the filter-fans to clean the air to a given level.

Please may I ask if it is all right to use methylated spirits instead of Isopropyl Alcohol? It cost half the price here in Australia.

Interesting tests. Scratch and breakage resistance never factored into our use of Corelle and IKEA tableware. Dielectric constant and thermal expansion were our considerations. Will it work well in the microwave? Will it crack if suddenly heated or cooled?

One reason the shaft is smooth round on these accessories is because not all drills have the same number of "teeth" that tighten down. Three is by far the most common, but I have seen drills with two teeth (with a v cut into the teeth to center the bit) and four teeth models. Rare, but there out there. Using a grinding wheel, you can pretty easily grind away on the shaft a little bit at 120 degree intervals to create flat surfaces that your three-tooth drill can clamp to.

You certainly can do it like this, but it's much easier with a proper floor jack and some stands, IMO. Not to mention safer. And if you're the type of person who is going to rotate your tires, you will probably find plenty of other use for those tools anyway.

Buy once, cry once. The speed and how little residual was left, give 3M the win for me. Lack of residue, means longer life. Less of the wheel is worn off. Not to mention, little to no extra time cleaning up. Speed equals time and time equals money. The lack of having to retighten the chuck, the reversibility, and thicker chuck. 3M is worth the money.
