You've shared so much more than other videos I've watched! A true gem. Please continue to share your experiences living there, im curious about jobs/cost of living and even how the locals live there to get by, what are their entertainments and fashion and such.

Their cruelty towards cats is absolutely abysmal...there is a cat sanctuary that does its best to help the strays, but the Mayor of Syros, does absolutely nothing to punish people who take 1 week old kittens from their mother, put them in a shoe box then put them behind a dumpster! This is NOT a one off occurance...absolutely, disgusting.

Sorry, with all my love to Greek Islands, Syros was a big dissapointment. Would recommend other nearby islands instead, Amorgos, Folegandros, and if you go further - Symi etc.

Lived in Oahu for almost 30 years. I haven’t done 90% of the places you recommended. Maybe I should play tourist for a day to see what it’s like..

1 note to add about beaches that you might not have learned only living here a year. Different beaches are better at different times of year for different activities, and it's probably better to look at what you want to do to figure out what beach to go to. Like if you come during the summer, there's no big wave surfing on the North shore but there is amazing snorkeling at some of those surf spots. Also China Walls is really dangerous for a lot of the year and probably a reason you haven't heard it mentioned too many other places. Like there are regularly people being rescued there.

Was just to Oahu in early June and visiting many of the beaches on this list. Waimelano and Lanakai are the two best by far!

Hi guys! Me and my girlfriend went there last month we were visiting Ecuador we currently live in Spain. It is such a nice place and there is an amazing hike you can do to Roca Negra and also enjoy the paramo if you follow the llamas and cows road.

I'm surprised you did not mention Kualoa Ranch, they filmed Jurrasic Park there for pets' sake.

I checked on the ALLTRAILS app and it says this hike is currently closed and trespassers will be fined or arrested. :(

Good video, but PLEASE type the NAMES of each place (or ingredient) on the screen, as the Hawaiian names spoken are not clearly understood. One other note… China Walls is VERY dangerous for non-locals (or less than experienced swimmers). Should make that clear.

I always find it worse going down than going up. Imagine all those wooden rails in a heavy downpour. Would be slippery indeed.

How slippery the mud is on Oahu, I recommend really good hiking shoes, but not boots. That mud is pure grease. At least try to go when it is dry (good luck on that).
