FLYING TO PHUKET THAILAND IN 2022! (Over 30 hours of travel)

We flew across the world to Phuket, Thailand! We had to navigate the Thailand Sandbox program and it's ever changing entry requirements, but we made it! In this video, we tell you what we needed to get into Thailand's sandbox scheme. We also take you along our travel journey of 32 hours long. The entire trip took us from the Caribbean to Southeast Asia! It was definitely an experience.

Thailand, my once home for three years and have been there many times after that. My last trip was to bangkok 2 yeas ago, really just before the pandemic started.. So I can imagine the fun you are having now. There is sooo much to see and to do in Thailand. It's a great country for holidays and the people are really friendly and always smiling. Have fun and be carefull riding a motor bike. Also great respect for all what you have done for getting there.. Because they change their entry rules allmost every day.. It is crazy.

Medical people at public health ministry keep an eye on pandamic status every day, then decide what the outcome have to be done and propose to the government, mostly he believes what the doctors recommend so as to control the pandamic and economy.

For your pre-travel requirements, did you have to have a medical certificate to go along with your negative PCR test? I've been reading that a medical certificate is required and wanted to confirm.

Did you guys have to do a third pcr test on the fifth day of staying at the sha+ hotel? Ive noticed that that’s now a requirement and just wondered where you go and how to book it

Yes, we had to do a PCR test on the 5th day. It was brand new when we arrived but our SHA+ hotel set it up for us. We took a motorbike to a local hospital. It took about an hour, so nothing too crazy.

If there is anyting I can give as an advice, don't rise you voice while negotiation, if you dont like it just say no and walk away. it's not worth get in trouble just because small money, bit of action, or some disappointment. if you smile at us, we will smile at you, struggle with communication? overcome language barrier with gesture, picture, write, draw cos not all of us know english.

Yes, we got the results within an hour. We heard about the delays in getting the results, so we decided to get the fastest result possible!

Well I have been trying for the past 2 weeks to get the Thai Pass to fly to Phuket and the whole process is a nightmare. I spent a lot of money in reservations and booking but there is always something popping up that I need combined with issues from their systems that don't work all the time and a staff not very reactive plus an embassy that only replies automated messages well it is very unlikely I obtain that pass in time to fly next week so I have started to plan my hols somewhere else as a backup plan. I am very frustrated by the whole thing. Yes these people seem to be very cool and relax but at my expense from what I understand. If I want to make it I will have to postpone my hols again and rebook everything again. I am not sure I still have the patience and will to keep being milked that way.

Thailand’s requirement says RT-PCR but it’s hard to find out what the difference is (if any??) thanks for your help !!

@@sailingjoco We got them at a private clinic in Houston, TX. We could get them for free but the test results had to be returned within 48 hours. At that time, no free clinic could do it. Nikki was told that there is no difference in the RT-PCR and the PCR test.

@@sailingjoco we were hoping that we did everything right and we were never 100% sure that we did anything right tbh. It is SO confusing. But we flew to Singapore, and to transit through Singapore, we needed a test within 48 hours. So it’s also good to check the requirements of the countries you will transit through!
