fun fact: westley is the name they used for madison in europe releases! i'm not entirely sure why though. I haven't been able to find a clear answer online.

Just guessing that maybe they thought it was a little weird as a name in Europe too surname like though Westley is more surname like to me and Madison is more of a first name

Omg I had the same experience as a kid!! I didn't have any of the dolls as we couldn't afford them but i LIVED on the my scene website. I played those games so many times, over and over. Glad to hear i wasn't the only one 😂

Madison was called westley in Europe for some reason, barbie was replaced by kennedy in 2006 i believe.

Love to see another ranking video! I never had any myscene dolls growing up but I vividly remember seeing them in catalogues. If I had lots of money I would definitely consider collecting them as an adult because their outfits are exceptional!

I like My Scene dolls. For me they were a recent discovery because I never had them when I was little. I would have liked them to have been much more popular here but let's say they have somewhat absorbed the popularity of the Bratz. The My bling bling line is very beautiful but I also like the signature one! 😊

All I have of My Scene is the Masquerade *Madness* party house with the spiral staircase that I'll repaint and use for my Monster High Freak du Chic display, but I'd love to get my hands on the *(Madison's!)* butterfly punk outfit, that's amazing. ♥️

yess i have nostalgia for the myscene website but not the dolls, usually i decorated their rooms lol - recently found a chelsea while thrifting n fell down a bit of a rabbit hole, though and finally started collecting them. despite loving them aesthetically i had never bought any until now, i suppose mostly because they tend to be fairly pricey lmao but they're just so gorgeous!! rebel style chelsea, mall maniacs skechers chelsea, and miami getaway nolee are some of my favorites i've come across recently while browsing ebay

To me My Scene is the perfect balance between Barbie and Bratz.The bling era had my favourite designs but i think the designs got lazier(?)and they took away each girl's personality in their outfits. I think My Scene didn't do as well because it was always regarded as a Bratz rip off and played it too safe.Their fashion was definitely edgier than Barbie but compared to Bratz the fashions weren't never seen before. I think they should've done more lines like Masquarade Madness as she's definitely on my top 10 as well!

Their body and face molds are just so elegant and beautiful to me, and their clothes are so striking and iconic. I had the Chelsea Bling Bling doll as a kid and loved her, but always yearned for more. Their website was such a big part of my childhood though

my scene almost entirely missed me because i wasn’t a collector at the time - my adult collecting journey started with g1 monster high. but i did acquire roller girls kennedy as a random impulse purchase back in the day, just because i liked her look and the skating theme (and because i was pretty into the idea of girls named kennedy, thanks to buffy the vampire slayer). i still have her and she’s still in the box. i’ll free her from her plastic prison someday, maybe even get some of her friends if those repros ever appear. but otherwise i’m happy to have just her in my collection. they’re very pretty dolls and the fashions are extremely nice but i don’t have any emotional attachment or nostalgia for the line, so i’m not super interested in adding more to my collection at ebay/mercari prices 😬
