Any chance you can show your wiring and routing with the quad cortex? I'm new to the H90 and I'm trying to figure out which I like more...Running into the front of the QC and 4 cable through the effect loop or running the whole thing through the effects loop.

I can't find the Timmons delay algorithm in my H90. As I understand it, you can create and name programs but not algorithms. The Timmons delay is an algorithm?
@GuitarStuffChannel10 күн бұрын
The 'Timmons' you see in the video is a 'preset'. A preset is an algorithm saved with some settings. A programme consists of 2 presets. I have another video that explains it fully.

Thanks for the video. I have just installed a B7 with the Vibramate on my Les Paul and tuning is turning out to be an issue. I have 2 other guitars with factory Bigsbys and they are fine. I'm not sure about the Vibramate. How are you finding it 12 months later?

Thx. I built one with a variety of extra options/features such as clipping switch (led and low vf), different trans (BC239, 2N4401, 2n5088), bias control, and tone caps range pot (treb-mid-full). Really adds utility to a basic circuit. Sounds great thru my Champs and Princeton. Enjoy 🤙

Been using a Time Factor as my only delay for the last few years, so its nice to hear the comparison of the Time Factor, H9, and H90 as I'm getting a little bit a gas for a new delay solution.

Great explanation thank you so much! So if I choose a prs neck (25 inch with 24 frets) against another 25 inch neck with 22 frets) then the distance between all frets on the 24 frets will be shorter right? Thanks again :)
@GuitarStuffChannel10 күн бұрын
Glad it helped. Sorry, no - it doesn't matter how many frets the guitar has. For a certain scale length the distance from the nut to the 12th fret will always be the same no matter how many more frets you add. Of course, they get closer together the further you go up.

@GuitarStuff just trying to do similar to you but with the new Android app. What wasn't clear to me was, was your setup reliant on your home network to make it all work? or can the setup work with just the wifi dongle and a POE switch?. The reason i'm asking is id like to run this arrangement at a rehearsal room where i won't have a wifi router. I already have a TPLink POE switch I can 'borrow' I just need to be sure the wifi dongle will do what i need before ordering one. The app doesnt need to login on the internet does it? If it does i supose I could set my phone as a hotspot. i intend plugging the wifi dongle into a USB charger, and the ethernet cable into the switch. I'll connect the Kemper rack and remote using ethernet cables into the switch also. I'll have set up the wifi dongle prior with a network connection to allow my tablet to see it. Then i can have the tablet on a music stand far enough away from the kemper and speaker so i can gauge chnages i make to the settings.
@GuitarStuffChannel10 күн бұрын
I can't remember now. The setup I used did use the home network, but I think that tiny router can also act as a wifi router/hub so you can do it without a home wifi network. There is some discussion on the kemper forum of what people have done so maybe have a look on there.

I use the Roland DD 500 and the RV 500, the editing on both are incredibly deep, and stereo in and out and an expression pedal can be used. They are both cheaper than Andy Timmons Halo and far more sounds are available. In my opinion it is worth spending the money to get the quality sound.

Good video and instruction. Disagree with your thoughts on the Bouquet Delay. It’s incredible in stereo, and really sweet-sounding to me. Note that the H90 uses between 600-800 mA, depending if you are using 9V or 12V. So, if you have a power input that’s only 500 MA, you need to go to Voodoo Lab and get the splitter cable that allows you to use two inputs to make sure you cover - and are not under powering - the H90.

Is there a way that once I have determined which Auxiary effects I want and where, that instead of having to set up each program separately, I could do some type of global change that this configuration will make this change on EVERY program thereby setting up a sort of "virtual" pedalboard bringing in/out any auxilary effects by simply stepping on their individual "bypass" switches? REMEMBER: although I have set up a "auxilary"external effect as a "insert".....It still can be switched "in" or "out" by simply stepping on it's bypass footswitch.
@GuitarStuffChannelАй бұрын
No, I don't think that this can be done.

Shorter scale length sound a but more "jangly" in a warm sort of way and a bit less precise, or glassy to me when I listen to comparisons over studio monitors. Its a subtle thing but contributes to that Gibson "growl" ever so slightly I think

My hands are just barely average size, maybe a tiny bit below. For most things it doesn't quite matter. However there are a few special cases that you might come across. For example, in Little Wing there is a brief but beautiful descending lick that I can't really do on a 25.5" scale, but can on 24.75" scale length. Likewise the shuffle groove in Aerosmith's Walk This Way requires a similar stretch, index to pinky (unless you pick up your fingers and shift down and back). I use love my 24 scale Duo Sonic, and on my Strats I use conversion necks to get them to 24.75". For me, it just feels better.

24 inch scale length guitars like Mustangs and Jaguars can be a game changer for people I dont have small hands but I find I can play my Mustang and never get hand fatigue It is more difficult to play certain types of common jazz chords in higher registers as it is more crammed, but it is adaptable. I use a set of heavy 12 gauge strings and that would be ridiculously heavy on a 25.5 scale length
