Would ever do a video explaining exactly what your job is and what a typical day looks like? I would find that interesting as I don’t know much at all about the actuary field of work!

Visited London, Cambridge and Brighton the second time round last month (same places as my first trip to UK in 2018). This time round, as I started watching you at the start of COVID-19, I visited the places that are dear to you (like exploring Jesus College for real - briefly dropped by in 2018 as my husband applied for that college but was not admitted - and dropped by Roost Cafe for coffee). I must say watching you going around the places I was just one month ago certainly makes me feel a lot more connected with your content! And it's that time of the year again! I can totally understand the feeling of being overwhelmed with work, as it's the same for me on the week leading to Christmas (heading back home from Singapore to Malaysia on the week of Christmas)! Even if it's a Sunday today, I am rushing to meet some of the deadlines before I head off!

The permaculturists are talking a lot about the state of the ecosystem. Really hope that more people learn gardening and plant more pollinator friendly plants. It’s rewarding, low effort, and makes a difference

Always worth checking google street view too, sometimes google maps is trolling. It’ll tell you something’s there and the street view is an empty stretch of highway 😂 I didn’t learn this the hard way thankfully. Learned while planning a trip

Paige, do not worry about being shy and inconfident in talking in conferences in front of so many people, but you still did great and you made many new friends.

I hope this comment finds you well. Congratulations on your success! I even subscribed to you throughout COVID-19, and I'm still in shock that you've passed every IFOA exam. That's really crazy for what you accomplished! I actually have a small request, but if it's okay with you, could you share or make a video regarding how much you spend overall from the beginning of your actuary exam journey (total including all actuary expenses like exam fee, books, etc.) till you become an actuary? Thanks in advanced!

Hey Paige! I'm so glad to hear you had fun! How are you liking being an actuary so far? I’m currently a Senior Quality Consultant for a health company, but I’ve been struggling to find motivation in my role lately. I want to advance, but it requires so much effort, and at times it feels like a waste. I’m really trying to push through and find some motivation, though. I’ve been following your channel since you were a student, and I just want to say I’m wishing you all the best! Thank you for sharing those awkward talks-I'm an introvert at heart, and your discussions make me feel like it’s okay to be me. It truly helps! Much love from UT, USA. ✨💓

Interesting to see the topics. An example of a company trying to make AI \ ML work is Lemonade Insurance in the US. They are publicly listed so you can look at all their financial numbers and investor calls etc. An example of Cyber Insurance is Emergence Insurance in Australia.

Lol I totally get what you mean. This is why the first time I go somewhere, it's strictly for research and observation purposes. There is no pressure. The second time around though ? You're going for the win. ❤

I had the same experience when I attended an RSC (Royal Society of Chemistry) conference in 2012 in Edinburgh. Some research groups are bigger than others, and I was on my lonesome. However, I did a seminar along with my research group. It is nerve-wracking to attend your first conference. My first conference had accommodation and the conference venue was also on site.

You talking about lacking confidence during social events like this... I feel you, it's really hard, sometimes I even doubt if I know how to speak 😂 But girl you're doing fineee! It was your first one! ❤️ - and the phrase "I can't wait to get into bed" HAHAHA I don't know how people can get through a busy day AND get drinks (after midnight? hello?) AND wake up early the other day?! 😂

Agree it will get easier over time. Just introduce yourself I find that people don’t really ask technical questions when they meet you at a conference. It’s more like what is your job? How are you finding the sessions?
