Paige, it was so much fun watching your video enjoying the beautiful summery weather in Melbourne, Australia especially when I am stuck in Ottawa, Canada in the cold weather with full of snow and ice and wearing winter clothes.

You may have figured it out already but the cars can turn as long as they have a green light too but need to give way to pedestrians who have also have green light.

Watching this made me miss australia. I wasnt goi g to go back this year but i might do. I flew direct to perth for 17 hours with Qantas and after a week flew to adelaide. Unfortunately i had to fly back to the uk from adelaide via perth and the whole journey took 25 hours. You cannotfly direct with qantas from adelaide. The only destinations quantas fly direct is perth and sydney. I hope that will change in the future because it will cut the journet time down. But its interesting to see the reaction from someone who has never been to australia before. What i would say is that you get a lot of big flies which is common and not nice but it depends what time of year you are there. I was there in september last year

I hope your videos on this solo travelling are not live aftet basically sharing your itinerary. So at the time of this posting, you should be long gone and probably already be back home. Still do the daily recordings but store them. Dont overshare online. Please be careful

Make sure the have a Parma when you’re in Australia. Would recommend the Parma at the Oxford Scholar pub in Melbourne. Also have a drink/dinner at Arbory on the river. Cool places to explore in the suburbs is Gertrude St in Fitzroy (lots of cool arty shops, cafes and bars and Sydney Road in Brunswick for good vintage clothes, food and kind of hipster vibes.

Have a great holiday Paige, looking forward to rest of your videos. Think you may need to ditch that pink bag for something more practical. In the hostel, be wary of the constant zip sound of bags being closed and open… Enjoy, from a fellow solo traveler…

Charity shops are a good option if you need cold clothes for a short period- cheaper and just drop them back off at a charity shop when you don’t need them anymore

If you're going to Auckland, please avoided K-road, the trains, bus stations and the area closests to the Sky tower at night. K-road, Queen street and the rainbow bridge are all sketchy at night, more so in the later hours cause that's when all the druggies and characters come out... Just be street smart when you're walking down there. The trains at night can also be sketchy for the same reasons above. And the areas around the Sky Tower are where a lot of homeless and drugged out people are, most are chill, but just be careful, there is this one boy who's always there and will follow you around asking for money. Please also reassure the beaches your going to swim in, because New Zealand doesn't have many swimming beaches, but the beaches will be cold in autumn... I have been watching your videos since you Cambridge vlogs and I am from New Zealand, I am wishing you the best and safest for your travels :)
