I am 44 going back to school for my degree in Computer Science and Engineering. I also work a job full time at night on 12 hour shifts. Just because why make anything any easier than it needs to be right!!??

Well done Paige, so much hard work paid off. This was me in similar exams, I was absolutely convinced I’d failed and went off to get my results alone. The worst thing was the website crashed as everyone was checking their results so that made the results waiting even worse! I was so shocked to have passed as I thought a couple went absolutely dire! But thank the heavens!

Congratulations. Fellow here (FCAS) and I have to say that the exam results I worried most about fell into two categories. The exam that I thought I blew and the exam that seemed too easy. The first for obvious reasons and the second because there was always this nagging suspicion that I somehow missed the point of the exam and had just screwed up.

I have thought I failed and actually passed. I had a calc 2 exam on Halloween of that year and swore I failed it. I raked all the leaves in my yard because I was so annoyed I thought I had failed it and I had not raked any leaves yet that season and there were a lot of leaves. I ended up getting the highest grade in the class and it was over 100. Also I had blisters on my hands from raking leaves

years ago I took an entrance exam for the job I wanted. I took the exam and the result was fail. I knew I had not failed so I challenged it and they told me they got it wrong and gave me someone elses results.

Congrats Paige! Just came across your video and can totally feel your excitement! Just have a question re the timing you mentioned to become fully qualified on July 2024? I thought you need to be an associate for 12 months before you can apply to be an IFOA? I'm in the same boat as you that I just passed all CPs and I expect to receive the associateship in early 2024. I passed my SPs before so the only exam left is one SA. My question is that if I'm lucky enough to pass the SA in April 2024, can I claim for IFOA in July 2024 or do I have to wait till end of 2024 for the 12-month rule?

Congrats on your results too! 🎉 yeah I’m ignoring the IFoA PPD rules and calling myself “qualified” when I pass all exams… but yes technically will need to wait the 12 months until can apply for fellowship. Need to get my associateship application in asap (assuming you got the same email!)
