Is that gypsum board youre plastering over? Also what is the type of plaster is it lime? We use a gypsum based plaster in the states we call it mud and depending on the state we dont even skim coat, just spray texture ( orange peel, knockdown )

Is that finish coat or what
@mrthecodguy19 күн бұрын
I am a plasterer myself (stukadoor we call it where i live) and I just can not wrap my head around how different plastering is compared to where i live xd. How te heck is the plaster brown and why do you guys apply in in multiple layers?

Great job.

@@Ryan_Clarke_Plastering were trying the tc15 tommorow as last job we did in k1 white and it finished an off white cream. Had to paint it in Johnstone stormsheild. Apparently the thin coat pure white is a brighter white ? You had much experience with it
@Ryan_Clarke_Plastering2 ай бұрын
Yes that’s correct. For some reason the white comes up an off white. If you want true white then go for the pure white. I don’t know why they do that it’s very strange but we’ve had customers before say that’s not white

I've never seen base coat done like this, always told let dry prime with same colour top coat apply top coat and rub up to finish job done?
@Ryan_Clarke_Plastering3 ай бұрын
Yeah this will still be primed and the top coat and rub up top coat too we just like a nice flat &smooth base coat too
@mrgfromoxford86443 ай бұрын
So let me get this rite , that was a base coat ? Why rub down so much. There is definitely another coat going on yeah ?
@Ryan_Clarke_Plastering3 ай бұрын
Yeah it has to be rubbed up because it’s only a thin coat system going over the top. Google thin coat systems

WTF is he doing? There's insufficient overhang and No vapour barrier just straight EML? This boy doesn't have a clue he should stick to skimming plasterboard
@Ryan_Clarke_Plastering3 ай бұрын
So you’d know that we told the customer that and they said no we don’t want to do that we just want it to be wired?
@G2020-3 ай бұрын
@Ryan_Clarke_Plastering yes ofcourse the customer said they want EML over the wall. If you ask 99% of customers they wouldn't even know what EML is! And you've fitted it wrong.
