I gotta say I appreciate the effort but you repeated yourself a lot and I kept thinking you were going to provide more info (in a 20 min video) but I felt like I learned very little by the end. I moved on to video two in the series, and it is much, much better. I'd consider re-recording this one, or at least editing it down and remixing the audio a bit. Being that it's the intro to this series, it very nearly turned me off entirely. But what you have going for you is that every other Infinity how-to video is significantly worse. 😅

I love infinity universe, though I'm avoiding as much as I can anime visualisation. It really can be done. I have collection of RPG books, armies and waiting now for Acheron's Fall boardgame. Would love narrative campaigns and connections between incoming spaceship boardgame, RPG and miniature wargame. This universe is great and has amazing potential.

I like the fact the generic versions of the characters offer something different to the character, not just a toned down version.

My beyond box had much less of an issue with flash and mold lines than my starter box. Njord’s two handed axe needed some elbow grease to get it to line up with both hands, but I sort of expect that with great weapons in a non-PS kit.

I was really surprised when I was checking the contents of the box and realised there was an extra character per faction. Nice positive surprise. The one little thing that I didn't like was that the background for the new cards are a different colour.

Sadly mine had quite a few gaps when assembled, just not having much luck with my Warcrow stuff.

Super value, the way a starter box should be! I have some Bri'ish Paras somewhere ... about 1K worth lol. Backburner as I'm focusing on wInfinity and RPGs at the moment. For channel stuff learning to play / how to play deffo, also some 'approximately' historical scenarios like you said Arnhem and stuff. And that soviet SMG with the tuna-can mag is a PPSh I think

Don't quite understand the design ethos behind "we need to streamline the game by removing sectorials" and "the new launch box has two brand new sectorials!" Feels a bit GW in that they just want people to have to buy new minis...

Как по мне Корвуса по всем направлениям скатываются. Многие миниатюры стали пластиковыми, и качество пластика зачастую плохое (хотя лимитные модели могут делать отлично). Металлические миниатюры стали плохого качества, на мастер моделях не убирают «артефакты» 3Д печати, да и само литье очень «мыльное», текстура миниатюр смотрится плохо, такое чувство, что они родом из начала 2000-х. Отличие сильно бросается в глаза, по сравнению с ранее выпущенными моделями. Теперь еще закрытие старых секториалов, Корвуса сами себе изменяют, то они старались сохранить игровой мир и людям это нравилось, сейчас наплевали на этот мир и хотят как можно больше денег…..

CB casually deciding to axe five out of my six armies is complete garbage. Years of collecting MRRF, Shock Army, NCA and Spiral... just down the drain. Absolute nonsense to decide to remove MRRF which is a visual Ariadna staple when you have USARF which is just "+3 Armor faction". Removing Spiral is also such low effort play by CB, probably the sectorial which received the least amount of attention ever since it was released. Just so so bad all around.

A very basic question that seems to be kind of forgotten but which si important to a lot of people who want to start playing infinity: will the n5 rules be available in other languages?

To recap, in N5 vanilla armys are becoming like a sectorial with limited fire team options. To me at this point, with the power loss of Core fireteams. It seems like there wont be much difference between playing vanilla or a sectorial. I think the biggest choice between playing a sectorial and a generic army will be access to specific unit choices. I play vanila armys now and I think the new changes may still slightly favor vanilla. The good news for me is. These changes to fireteams wont change how I play the game.

Any chance of pre measuring being a part of n5? Thats a trend seen in other games, and really makes a positive difference for players who are starting new to the genre and dont have a feel for eyeballing distances

I’ve been saying for a long time that the #1 problem CB faces is getting product from the company, to the retailers, and into new players’ hands. The lessons learned from Code One and translated into “Essentials” is going to be SO good for our hobby. I think all the veterans are so focused on all the game rule changes that this change in how the game is being marketed is overlooked. I’m so excited for it and how much easier it will be to bring new people into the hobby. I anticipate significant growth in the player base.

Fireteam changes so that only purity counts, not size, sounds amazing. It always annoyed me that a fireteam with mixed units, and in my opinion there were far too many "counts as" units - Like sure, there are armies that specifically do it, like TAK, where everone is 'veteran' FT, but not everyone should do it, especially the 'stronger' factions. Good change, can't wait to see it.

Carlos is absolutely spot on that Pandora is a bigger loss to armies like Phalanx and Hassassins than Achilles was.

Everything sounds good so far, hope they can save and update some of the older sub-factions. I play Ariadna, wish they returned to the un-hackable old tech theme, other than that it'd be cool if they returned the "Fire" ammunition traits.

It makes me very sad to hear that NCA might be no longer playable. Let me use my poor 11 bolts, at least.

This sucks. At least with GW it’s incredibly easy to find players. Hard enough to convince ppl to play, much less losing models and sectorials.
