If your loop is not seamless, check if on the bottom right of the keyframes editor if the "End" is set to 360, mine was by default ending at 250 frames where the animation isn't finished rotating.
@BlenderForge
@BlenderForge 3 күн бұрын
Correct. No matter how many frames are in your animation, the second key frame of the animation (the point at which the object hits 360 degrees) should be one frame past the end of the animation.

how did you know what size your reference image is imported in blender? in 2:03 you said you needed 0.121 to get exactly what you want.
@BlenderForge
@BlenderForge 10 күн бұрын
The easiest way is to add a temporary shape, making it the size that one of the parts in the image SHOULD be. Then scale the image to a point where the part and your object match up. In a case like this one, the site selling the fixture listed the over all size.

Good question. I was not able to find a direct answer to this quickly, but I would start by experimenting with the reflection node on the texture coordinate node in a material. Or perhaps the light paths node.. Unfortunately I don't have a full answer for you. Hopefully that helps!

I’m using hdri as backgrond and Nishita sky texture to light the scene (is Camera Ray). But a car on my scene doesn’t have windshield reflections of the clouds, but if I disable Camera Ray, I can have nice reflections of the sky but then the hdri and sky texture are mixing together. I want the pure hdri as background with reflections. Any tips?

My first thought to accomplish that would be to use the Is Transmission Ray socket rather than Is Camera Ray to mix the two.

Maybe just a slight correction: the source object doesn't necessarily have to PRIMARY selection, but ACTIVE selection (that's how Blender names it). If it's the last object you selected or if you add more objects via box selection, it will remain active and thus the source of modifier :) Anyway, great tip!
@BlenderForge

Yes, I used a descriptive term instead of it's name 🤷‍♂ I think it still gets the point across. I often have to decide what things really need correction when editing and what's good enough.

When I think of "merging geometry", the most important thing that comes to mind is probably the Boolean modifier (set to "Union")

You could reduce the number of total frames in the animation or increase the number of degrees to turn beyond 360. Increasing the number of degrees in the turn would have to be in increments of 360.

I think it has something to do with the type of object I'm trying to apply it to but I can't remember how to fix it. I import an SVG, convert each object from that into meshes, and add a Solidify modifier to one of them. I want to copy that modifier to all the other objects, but the "Copy to selected" option isn't available...

@@BlenderForge This is what I had needed for my art class. I goofed up when following the professor’s instructions and seeing another perspective helped. I haven’t looked at your channel if you did, but do you have any tutorials about camera usage? My assignment requires me to export a turntable animation as a video, and I’m having trouble positioning the camera. I want it to have my model in the middle, yet when I position it by hand, one side of the frame inevitably has more empty space than the other.

This was a pretty helpful tutorial, I wanted to try this to make gifs of my models to post. I have a question, though. I'm planning on making gifs of my models that spin from side to side (just like your model in the video), and then spinning forward to show the top and bottom. How do I make a slow buildup at the beginning of the animation and a slowdown at the end of it?
@BlenderForge
@BlenderForge 5 ай бұрын
Hi, I'm happy it's helped! To change the speed ramp you will need to open the graph editor, select the key frame where the speed should change, and move it's corresponding point in the graph editor up or down. You will want to uncheck any axis you do not want affected in the left column of the graph editor so that you are not inadvertently adjusting them and creating a wobbly rotation. When we hit T to change the animation's interpolation to linier it was changing the curve in the graph editor without actually opening the editor. I hope this is clear enough.
@BlenderForge
@BlenderForge 5 ай бұрын
A slightly less complicated way, but with less control is to not change the interpolation to linier and use besier or one of the other easing presents in the T menu. Make sure all key frames are selected when doing so.
