This video was just what I needed. I am beginning a colour work pullover and realized there are rows with three colours in them. I have never worked with more than two before. Thank you so much for your clear explanation and showing me how to do it. I need visuals for knitting.

Hi Jessica, I really love your designs and look forward to your tutorial on the no name sweater. I was trying to sign up for your newsletter but cannot seem to get the connection with this link or the link on Ravelry. This might be a problem on my end but maybe not, I will try again later. Thank you for sharing❤️

We're not machines. Sweater is gorgeous!! Many of us could never ever design a sweater ....me for one. I'm thankful for people like you who TRY . I'm jealous!! Congrats on this beautiful sweater

Loved your tutorial and just purchased your pretty pattern. I'm pretty sure Grandma isn't in the cards for me, sadly, so I smiled when I heard the sweet Lil voices. Thank you for what you do!!

Wow, so far have watched up to working body. Your tutorial is amazing and video work awesome. I'm new to knitting sweaters. I have done raglan sweaters and enjoy making them. I just purchased your pattern since I have you here to guide me !!! Very much appreciated!! Thanks for all your work on this tutorial. This will be my first short rows like this and also first yoke sweater. Your teaching style is superb. I have tried to knit like you but ....middle finger just won't work and holding other in air just doesn't work either grr Your knitting is beautiful Magic loop is still confusing to me so I will use interchangeable needles and change cord length as needed.. So now .... off to look for yarn in your pattern :-)

You could also use a provisional cast on and use an extra needle to knit the 2 corresponding stitches together

Instead of showing off maybe slow down and actually show how to do it.

You can slow this down yourself in the settings.

To anyone talking trash about your child interrupting; to hell with them it made me subscribe! Go Mama! Go little Jimmy! It really made the tutorial for me, you sound like a wonderful mom and Jimmy is cute and adorable with his questions. Anyone saying he should be laying down taking a nap or arrange to have someone watch him- haha sounds sooooo easy and affordable, it’s better he’s there with his mama ❤️

Love these sweaters. Since your colorwork starts with a little bit of white snowflakes, I'm wondering if Snowy Pines could have had short rows in the top, with colorwork "snowflakes" to prevent there being a solid wedge of green. There just would have been a bit more snow in the back neck.

Why don't you make this while your child is sleeping or arrange for someone else to spend time with him while you are making the video

Do I do knit stitches even if I have a k1 p1 ribbing?
@Eloraurora24 күн бұрын
If you're planning to continue the body of the sweater in k1/p1 ribbing, you'd work the two edges together in ribbing. This is (I think) assuming a standard stockinette body/ribbed borders construction.

@@ElorauroraOkie I think that makes sense idk why I’m late to see this! I’m making my first raglan i wanted to try this method for my neckline which is k1/p1

I'm 72 yrs old and have actually decided to stick to the English style knitting... I learned when I was only about 8 or 10 yrs old. So after knitting for 60+ yrs using English style, I found it difficult to change to continental ... knitting...

I love the Violet and just purchased both adult and child sized patterns. I also love the Violet pullover. The unnamed cardi is so pretty too, and I'm definitely going to make it. Thank you for making a tutorial for the cardi. Jessica, I love that you made the sleeve a bit loose instead of the "balloon" sleeve. Your style is so beautiful and classic. Your designs are not going to go out of style and I can see wearing them for years to come.The socks are so pretty too.

Hi Jessica as always your knitting is just beautiful and timeless. I’m very excited about your yarn and can’t wait to have the opportunity to buy some of it.
@theknittystewАй бұрын
Love your designs Jessica! I am excited for all of them including the colourwork socks! Regarding the unnamed cardigan - it’s in Finnsheep yarn and the star of the pattern is the sleeve so how about calling it “sleeve” in Finnish which is Hiha (hee-haw). Just an idea. Safe travels to and from swimming lessons!

No going to lie, the kid interludes kinda made this tutorial; it switched the tone from being clinically taught to knit to the feeling of getting taught by the neighborhood knitting group and it brought back a lot of fond memories. Keep up the good content! 😁

Continental knitting is just a generic term for a knitting style where you hold your yarn in the hand that doesn't hold your working needle. Depending where you are from on the "Continent" there are variations. And lot of people develop their own personal ways to knit. There is no wright and wrong, as long as it works for you ( from a continental knitter )

I love your cardigans! I think you should name the second one the homesteader cardigan, because it looks like a classic piece to be worn with homesteading dresses and can be used throughout all the daily tasks!

Greetings from Cape Douglas, South Australia. A tiny coastal community of only 21 full time residents. Knit the sleeves first to overcome sleeve boredom. We never blocked socks. The wearer's foot blocks the sock. Why block it to an unnatural shape? Same here in the southern hemisphere to try and purchase overseas yarn.

Jessica, Eagerly awaiting the release of the Violet Cardigan so I can cast on one my size! Your new raglan cardigan is so perfect too. I love the fit, especially a bit of room in the sleeves but the tighter cuff. The length looks perfect, and I think I need some summer dresses to wear under both of these beautiful designs.
