Hi Bugsy, just have a question how do you rig your rods like do you use mainline to leader knots or just swivels and if so what knots do you use for leader knots and lure/hook/weight knots?
@bugsyfishing
@bugsyfishing 28 күн бұрын
Hi Cooper, for this style of fishing I keep it really simple. 20lb braid mainline then I use an FG knot to tie 1 1/2 rod lengths of 20lb monofilament as a leader. Then I use a loop knot to tie the jig head on. So two knots. That's it. Really streamlined and simple

@bugsyfishing

Hi mate, I haven't used the Hobie Outback. They look good. I am really happy with the Revolution 13. I think they are a bit better for what I do out in the ocean. Perhaps a bit faster but maybe less stable than the Outback. And it looks a little lighter than the Outback which makes it easier to put on the roof of my car. Still pretty heavy though. The Outback looks great though. Stable enough to stand on and cast in calm waters and the Revolution doesn't allow that. Plus the Outback has better storage. Not sure how much room there is in the bow though. I can fit a 100cm catch bag in the front of the Revo. Hope that helps

Hey mate I really enjoyed the video thanks for posting. Relatively new to fishing and would love to try live baiting some yakkas. Just wanted to ask, what was that floating rig you were running? Cheers!
@bugsyfishing
@bugsyfishing Ай бұрын
Hey Ollie, I had a monofilament leader tied with a FG knot to the braid. I slide the float onto that leader and tie a rubber band around the mono to stop the float from sliding onto the braid. You can adjust this to the required depth. Then I tie a swivel on and add about 1.5m of leader to a 8/0 or 9/0 hook. Get a strong live baiting hook. Mustad Hoodlums are reliable. That's it. Wherever the rubber band is tied is the point where the float will stop - that is your depth control. I usually put it at least 3m deep but depends on how deep the area you are fishing is. Good luck!
