Given that there is not much need to move much air inside the case (just psu&some passive components), what is the smallest case you could put this into?

Hello, Please Help!🥺🙏 Brace yourself, this is a mouthful in convoluted writing and I apologize in advance, I'm Asperger and I can't for the life on me to either be concise because people don't understand my vague or too summarized details, or over-compensate by bombarding them with too much information because I notice they don't understand me and yet they still don't understand anyway...😳 ok now... I have this card and after +2 years of use I have what seems to be called "Coil whining", an annoying "electrical buzzing" sound that matches/sounds as things happen on the screen from playing a game (e.g. rotating a 3D model being rendered of your space ship, or simply making the ship go anywhere) to scrolling down a webpage/youtube video, it is EXTREMELY distracting, is louder when playing games at 4K in ULTRA quality, which is pretty much always in my case, that's why I spent 35K thousand MXN for this card (~1,750 USD at the exchange rate) back when I bought it. It was fine until +1 years of use when the warranty had expired and I gave my Rig an overall cleanup and maintenance (disassembly of the whole PC, not the individual components like the video card, just clean up), after re-assemble this noise started first when playing games and has been there since, and seems to be getting louder as time passes and is now extending to regular use like browsing the internet (though barely noticeable when not playing *I* can hear it, seems I'm more sensitive than most, a friend of mine does not hear the buzzing sound even when I'm playing and the noise is the loudest for me ¬_¬' he thinks I'm exaggerating and its frustrating that seems no one else but me hears it, but I promise you, I'M NOT CRAZY, IT IS THERE!!! 😤 AND IT MAKES ME MAD EVERY FRIGGING THING ON THE SCREEN IS SYNCHRONIZED TO THE DAMN BUZZING!!! 😤😤😤 For what I read about this Coil whining thing, its very hard to fix because can be caused by an extremely wide range of things, and most recommend simply return your card if warranty still applies, which is no longer an option for me. I think it is time to give some maintenance to the card and change thermal pads and the paste (the paste even for liquid metal like Thermal Grizzly's Conductonaut). Changing thermals pads, paste and a deeper maintenance are a start, but Do you have had any experience on this Coil Whining thing? and what general recommendations do you have for such an occurrence (coil whining) considering the warranty has expired by now. Short of buying a new one, I want to explore options and extend the use as much as I can, I already spent +4K DLS on my rig, and almost half or that was the Video Card. Thanks for reading up to this point ☺🙏

Thanks for your comment 🙏 I am right here as usual my friend, working hard on the next video. It's an ITX build in the Ncase M2. I plan to have it out in November. I recognize that I haven't had a video release recently and I tended to have one every month or so. I spent time on an Iceman water block video that I never finished as it was for the Intel 14900KS, due to all the question marks around Intel CPU degradation, etc. I then spent a lot of time trying to build in the Fractal Era 2 (trying different components, waiting for components to arrive) and nothing ended fitting right and I scrapped the build. So, now onto the Ncase M2. I am more than half-way through the footage. I'll be building the Ncase M2 case along with the build (since it comes flat-packed). Hope that helps and I sincerely appreciate you and anyone looking forward to any content and I don't ever plan on stopping. Thanks again

While the Watercool block does cool VRAM more, counterintuitively, at these temperature ranges, if you’re using these blocks to chase OC benchmarks with ambient water cooling, the higher VRAM temperature provides a little more OC headroom. I have tested this before when comparing a stock air cooler vs block with film on the memory pads vs no film on the memory pads.

Just have a question on this build as it's not very clear to me. When you are powering on the PC, this also powers on the D5 pump and and fans via the controller? Do you also have control via software over the fans speed and the pump speed? Thanks
@vectornetwork
@vectornetwork Ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment 🙏 Both the switch and the PSU needs to be powered up. I turn the Watercooling switch on first, then the computer. This is the way to have a pump on the radiator and to also allow for longer tube routing from the PC to the radiator. If you have the pump in the case, then you are dealing with needing a larger case or dealing with more noise. If you have the pump on the radiator, then you are dealing with how to power the pump. You can route the PSU cable from the PC, but that isn't really that elegant and those cables are short. As for the software, Aquacomputer and Aquasuite software was specifically chosen because of their nice software that remembers settings. I have so many builds, it nice to just throw in the Quadro and it already has a lot of my presets. Hope that helps.

why did you need the extra devices when you have the D5 next?
@vectornetwork
@vectornetwork Ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment 🙏 Good question. Those extra devices are not needed. This way ensures that it can be done even without the Aquacomputer D5 Next Pump. But, the next version of this build in a more recent video does specifically show a cleaner and more streamlined way of doing this by utilizing the fan control on the D5 Next. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sHmQiop5iKmcaKc Thanks again

I'm a bit confused. So does the pump and fans turn on when you turn the pc on, or do you have to turn them on manyally with that switch?
@vectornetwork
@vectornetwork Ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment 🙏 In short, it has to be done manually with that switch. It's why it is there. The other option is to connect the SATA cable from your PSU in the PC to the pump. This will allow you 1 button to turn on everything, but at the tradeoff of being restricted by the length of the PSU SATA cable and also figuring out how to route the cable out of the case. The switch is the most streamlined way I could think of to do this. Hope that helps.

Can you maybe do a review on the MORA 4 600? Theres no reviews at this point in time to be found and i think youre the right channel to do the first. Maybe also try it in a DDC and D5 config see what works best and with what noise levels, you could try and see how far you could push an 14900KS with overclocking and well everything performs. Would be insanely interesting for me to see and, probably not just for me.

This is almost perfect video. Although I would have highlighted the need of a good quality biocide AND corrosion inhibitor. Don’t think you can get away with only DI water/biocide, a silver coil or premix coolant. Corrosion is the number one issue that isn’t communicated enough in beginner guides. Corrosion inhibitor is essential to prevent minerals (in particular nickel plating) diffusing into the water due to the imbalance.

Great video, but watercooling anything other than the 4090 is foolishness. That's money that should be invested into upgrading the system, not adding a redundant watercooling system to inferior hardware that operates fine without it.
