Thanks for your comment 🙏 I am right here as usual my friend, working hard on the next video. It's an ITX build in the Ncase M2. I plan to have it out in November. I recognize that I haven't had a video release recently and I tended to have one every month or so. I spent time on an Iceman water block video that I never finished as it was for the Intel 14900KS, due to all the question marks around Intel CPU degradation, etc. I then spent a lot of time trying to build in the Fractal Era 2 (trying different components, waiting for components to arrive) and nothing ended fitting right and I scrapped the build. So, now onto the Ncase M2. I am more than half-way through the footage. I'll be building the Ncase M2 case along with the build (since it comes flat-packed). Hope that helps and I sincerely appreciate you and anyone looking forward to any content and I don't ever plan on stopping. Thanks again

Thanks for this video, my 4080 has only been used for 9 months and my hotspot temps are hitting the high 90s. So i can now use your video as a guide so i can re-paste. And advice on what paste to use and what not to use? Many thanks!

While the Watercool block does cool VRAM more, counterintuitively, at these temperature ranges, if you’re using these blocks to chase OC benchmarks with ambient water cooling, the higher VRAM temperature provides a little more OC headroom. I have tested this before when comparing a stock air cooler vs block with film on the memory pads vs no film on the memory pads.

Honestly with how big that radiator is its probably a better idea to just get a normal ATX build. But other than that good job on the build looks very cool.

Just have a question on this build as it's not very clear to me. When you are powering on the PC, this also powers on the D5 pump and and fans via the controller? Do you also have control via software over the fans speed and the pump speed? Thanks
@vectornetwork
@vectornetwork 14 күн бұрын
Thanks for your comment 🙏 Both the switch and the PSU needs to be powered up. I turn the Watercooling switch on first, then the computer. This is the way to have a pump on the radiator and to also allow for longer tube routing from the PC to the radiator. If you have the pump in the case, then you are dealing with needing a larger case or dealing with more noise. If you have the pump on the radiator, then you are dealing with how to power the pump. You can route the PSU cable from the PC, but that isn't really that elegant and those cables are short. As for the software, Aquacomputer and Aquasuite software was specifically chosen because of their nice software that remembers settings. I have so many builds, it nice to just throw in the Quadro and it already has a lot of my presets. Hope that helps.

why did you need the extra devices when you have the D5 next?
@vectornetwork
@vectornetwork 14 күн бұрын
Thanks for your comment 🙏 Good question. Those extra devices are not needed. This way ensures that it can be done even without the Aquacomputer D5 Next Pump. But, the next version of this build in a more recent video does specifically show a cleaner and more streamlined way of doing this by utilizing the fan control on the D5 Next. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sHmQiop5iKmcaKc Thanks again

I'm a bit confused. So does the pump and fans turn on when you turn the pc on, or do you have to turn them on manyally with that switch?
@vectornetwork
@vectornetwork 14 күн бұрын
Thanks for your comment 🙏 In short, it has to be done manually with that switch. It's why it is there. The other option is to connect the SATA cable from your PSU in the PC to the pump. This will allow you 1 button to turn on everything, but at the tradeoff of being restricted by the length of the PSU SATA cable and also figuring out how to route the cable out of the case. The switch is the most streamlined way I could think of to do this. Hope that helps.

Can you maybe do a review on the MORA 4 600? Theres no reviews at this point in time to be found and i think youre the right channel to do the first. Maybe also try it in a DDC and D5 config see what works best and with what noise levels, you could try and see how far you could push an 14900KS with overclocking and well everything performs. Would be insanely interesting for me to see and, probably not just for me.

This is almost perfect video. Although I would have highlighted the need of a good quality biocide AND corrosion inhibitor. Don’t think you can get away with only DI water/biocide, a silver coil or premix coolant. Corrosion is the number one issue that isn’t communicated enough in beginner guides. Corrosion inhibitor is essential to prevent minerals (in particular nickel plating) diffusing into the water due to the imbalance.

Great video, but watercooling anything other than the 4090 is foolishness. That's money that should be invested into upgrading the system, not adding a redundant watercooling system to inferior hardware that operates fine without it.

Tbh I'm in the middle of installing the tuf 4070 bykski block and compared to ekwb this block as of now is terrible for clarity in install. Luckily, I have experience. But the paste seams ultra thick. So I'm going to have to buy new stuff tomorrow to continue. But what I don't like is the led connection does not connect to the rgb on the board.

I just wanted to thank you for making this video. Most build videos spend all their time talking extensively about unimportant things and then just time-lapse through the actual loop building portion. Your video is exactly what i was looking for because you show the construction of the loop itself. The only things missing are design considerations (like putting the pump and a drain at the lowest water level) and tightening all the blanking plugs and the fittings, but that would make a good follow up video - you can call it "best practices for water cooling" and go over things like radiator placement, fan selection, radiator sizing, loop routing, tips and tricks etc.
