Thanks for your comment 🙏I sincerely appreciate the kind words and encouragement. I am so happy that there are people that will watch. I have a lot of content planned for the rest of this year and then also the beginning of next year. I plan to continue to do my best to make improvements with each video. For example, for this video, I had to learn how to capture and edit footage where the shot is dark but then there is a directional light shining to reveal some details. Other times, I made improvements where I slowed things down, rather than cutting so fast and often. So, I have tried to make it a point to have everything as smooth and pleasant to view as possible. Thanks again for supporting!

Thanks for your comment 🙏Right on friend. It's a keeper. I really how the Optimus blocks are really easy to take apart and put back together and then install and also to clean. I will be using this block when I do a build with a MORA-420. Thanks again

Guess it's time to throw away my EKWB Velocity AM4 block that I converted to use with my 7800X3D CPU. I get about 82C in Cinebench R23 in a loop, which is a crazy difference compared to this review

Thanks for your comment 🙏Haha, you certainly don't need to throw anything away friend. Thanks for watching and I appreciate your words.

I don't think you're actually going to see these kinds of results in a case. I have the Alphacool Core 1, which is extremely well rated, and I see about 72-74 degrees in R23 with MX-6 paste and a good application. Open bench will nearly always have dramatically better results

I would be interested in seeing how the Intel Signature V3 compares to the Signature V2.
@vectornetwork9 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment 🙏 I really like this block. It is heavy. I took it apart and also liked the innards with the block. I didn't use Optimus's test case of a 16-core CPU, but I did use my own use-case of a 8-core CPU with 3D v-cache. The gains were reproduceable and they were exactly 1 degree celcius. I also did not delidd the CPU, so I cannot test their claims there. But my expectation is that you may see marginal performance gains between the V2 and the V3. Hope that helps

Wow! I have a 7800x3d and foundation block, but I'm getting around 80 degrees in Cinebench. I've tried all different thermal pastes and wonder if maybe it's from excessive mounting pressure. How tight would you say you mounted your blocks? Because the instructions say "very tight" and I'm already the guy who typically overtightens things 😂. Anyways, great channel man!
@dontsleephungry7165 ай бұрын
Looks like you’re way overtightened the block, either in a wonky way or any other way
@vectornetwork5 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment 🙏 Your CPU is operating as intended. You likely have Performance Boost Overdrive on. My limited understanding is that the CPU will boost up until it hits 80 degrees Celsius. I had PBO turned off for these tests. Hope that helps. In short, don't over tighten anymore! You're good!

Can't they just double the surface area of the fins, and double the performance?
@vectornetwork21 күн бұрын
Thanks for your comment 🙏 Kinda, yes? I think there is diminishing returns depending on how you would "double the surface area" of the fins. If you make them thinner and stick more of them in the same place, then yes, I think you would get better performance, but the problem is how do you make them thinner. And then maybe you can make them longer? I am not sure if you can just keep making them longer. Maybe there are other constraints there. Hope that rambling helps

2 degree colder than the core 1, but more than twice expensive with all the shipping fee + tax. So whats gonna be like when the apex block come out which AC claim that it's better than core 1 lol. They have to do something with the price and weird marketing scheme that claim that this block is 1~4C better than direct die, that's stupid claim.
@vectornetwork11 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment🙏 I have to agree, the results did not reflect what I was hoping for. I double checked the paste contact and even showed it on the video so others can see. Off camera, I had made sure the contact for both CPU blocks were very well installed. The data lined up perfectly so it seems like good data. I saw a very clear 1 degree difference that I could replicate. I was hoping for 4-5. Optimus gave very detailed instructions on how to replicate their data. I wasn't going to go through all those hoops. I went with my own testing, which made more sense to me. I think CPU cooling has really hit its max well beyond diminishing returns. These are all very good and comparable blocks. Optimus did put a lot of time and research and materials into making a better block. They did but only by the slimmest of margins. Will I use the Signature V3 block in a build? Yes, absolutely. Would I buy it again? Unlikely. Would I continue to see what products Optimus has in store? Sure will. Hope that helps

What is apex waterblock which is a better then core 1? Another new alphacool waterblock?
11 ай бұрын
@@Igor.Kupinsky From what i heard it's the high end block from Alphacool supposed to come out in 2024. So Core 1 and Apex. But judging from how they and Igor review the Apex stealth metal fans, the way they hype up and lied about the actual data. I have zero trust for AC at this point. Search about Apex stealth metal fan, read the one from Igor a couple months ago and all the recents.

Are you seriously using Noctua paste over Kingpin, with that decision alone I know this is a noob channel.
@vectornetwork6 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment 🙏 I have used Noctua for everything so far. Partly for consistency, another part for ease of application (for me) and another part I enjoy the Noctua branding. For the block, I was more concerned about potential comparability with tests I've done in the past. Having said that, I'm likely using new paste going forward. I currently working on an Optimus GPU block for the Strix 4090 and I used their supplied Kingpin paste and spatula, as instructed. Thanks for your feedback and thanks again for commenting.
