Is the HMG not usable? It would have been far more suited for those APC's than the coax.

the green dot by the range is the ready to fire indicator, if its not on your gun isnt loaded or the gun elevation or depression is too much. the gunner sight operates independently of the gun and should stay on target wither the gun has depression to follow it or not if the game is realistic.

12:45 might be a bit late to answer that question, but it's simply a difference in doctrin. NATO tanks like the M1 or the Leopards were made to defend against a soviet invasion. The Smoke canisters on those tanks are therefore made to cover a retreat. That's why the smoke forms a halve circle around the tank. Also the Commander launches the smoke which also shows that it's meant to protect and cover the tank. Soviet tanks, on the other hand, are meant for more aggressive offensive actions. The smoke is therefore launched by the gunner instead of the commander, which shows that the soviets see smoke as a weapon and not protection. Soviet smoke canisters, therefore, form a straight line in front of the Tank really far away in order to cover an advance and not a retreat! Launching the smoke just a few meters from the tank wouldn't cover a advance for very long as the tank quickly drives through the smoke. I'm usually not very good at explaining things so I hope it was somewhat understandable. Keep up the great work!
@akkapamagaming
@akkapamagaming Ай бұрын
Makes perfect sense, thanks so much for your information! Do you think the Soviet smoke is accurately represented in GHPC? Because I tend to find it quite useless to be honest. It launches really far away but only forms a relatively small smoke screen and if you turn left or right a little bit, you'll miss the screen entirely.
@galactic-guy
@galactic-guy Ай бұрын
@@akkapamagaming to be honest, I'm not entirely sure how accurate it really is. The general idea and implementation definitely is there but even the smoke from the M1 doesn't appear to be entirely realistic. When looking at real videos, the smoke is a lot denser and also seems to last longer. The Problem is that comparing it to real videos doesn't tell you a lot since there are probably a number of different smoke canisters that all have been improved over the years, so differences are to be expected. So like I said, I can't tell you for certain if it's accurate or not but I think there's definitely room for improvement! Thank you so much for taking the time to read all the comments!

The PT-76 was very much obsolete by the time period of this game. That gun is only good against the most lightly armored vehicles. On the NATO side that's the M113 and Bradley. Everything else can laugh off any short of a very lucky hit. When infantry get added this tank could be a menace to them. It's able to hang out of short range anti-tank weapon range (like the LAW) and just pummel infantry squads with frag rounds. That's not today.

Hey! Yeah I agree, I'm really looking forward to a proper campaign as well. The current campaign really is more like a "Shuffle" button for missions rather than a storyline based campaign. I'd say the number one thing I'm looking forward too is multiplayer, just like everybody else I guess. But besides that, I'd really like to see other areas and eras of conflict at some point, like the Gulf War for example. Or perhaps even Vietnam. I'm also very excited about the introduction of infantry in GHPC. Currently it is impossible to do properly simulated battles because armor hardly ever operates without infantry support. The final thing I'd love to see is more intelligent AI. AI that respond to sounds and send out forces to actively intercept recon targets. This would make any mission just so much more dynamic and replay-able as the AI could respond differently every time!

@@akkapamagaming spacking of A.I recently the GHPC dev team did a interview with some of the armored brigade 2 developer's For some background armored brigade Is a real time tactical war game focused on mechanized warfare. The amount of units you control can be up to multiple companies and the maps are eather randomly generated or based off real locations using satellite images and can variy in size from 2 kilometers to 15 kilometers And the sequel will bring many improvements and be 3D rather than 2D top down One of armored brigades best fractures is the A.I wacth can make full tactical battle plans and react to changes in the battlefield by its salf. Meaning it does not need things like way piont and makes every battle different and unique And during the interview josh said that they want to take the A.I more in what direction when they expand apon it. I very happy to hear that and it would add a whole new layer to the game in trams of reliably and gameplay wise What do you think ? Hi there! I know the basics but nothing too special. Now, I'm not a game dev, I do not work for Radian Simulations or for GHPC so I'm not sure. But I doubt they will change anything about the current physics, which do seem to be mostly correct and accurate as far as I can tell. I do hope they'll change the tracers though because they are a bit over the top. Don't get me wrong, they are realistic enough during 1x speed. But once you go into slow motion, they look rather terrible.

I mean, the devs will add multiplayer in the future. It's on the roadmap. So why not buy it anyway? You'll help fund the devs AND the game will probably become more expensive once it's out of early access with multiplayer functionality. Use singleplayer in the meantime to master the game and the vehicles so you can own the battlefield once MP comes out! At least, that's my mindset with it all :)

@@akkapamagaming KZbin algorithm is completely unfair, it favours people who put HD videos and has money to buy a good microphone. I'm not a hater, it just has a bitter taste for me
@akkapamagaming
@akkapamagaming 3 ай бұрын
@@JRBKanal Well, I suppose long story short, KZbin prefers those who put effort in, not only their video content, but everything around it too. Every little detail in KZbin matters. You can have the most amazing video in the whole wide world, but if you don't put a custom thumbnail on your video, select the wrong tags, have a boring title or whatever, nobody will see the video. And also, I don't have expensive hardware, aside from the PC (which is only expensive because I do professional 4K editing on it). I suppose the mic can be on the pricy side, which is a Røde NT-USB, but I bought mine second hand. You really don't need to spend a lot of money on hardware for KZbin. Most mics will do, as long as you set them up correctly. What matters most of ALL is how you set your video up. Thumbail, title, tags, etc. These are the things that help the algorythm guide people to your videos. I recommend looking up guide videos on the KZbin algorythm. There's plenty of people out there that do a much better job at explaining it all than me. Good luck :)

Just like every tank before the Abrams and leopard 2 M60, leopard 1, centurion, chiftean does not matter take any NATO tank before abrams and leopard 2 and there all rolling ammo racks Even worse than Soviet MBT'S Where is a reason why Soviet MBT are designed the way they are. Not shure if you know this ( I don't think you do judging by your comment ) but the T72,T80 and T-64 where designed in a era where things like blowout pallanls DON'T EXIST So guess what Soviet engineers decided that Instead of having ammunition everywhere and in multiple areas like for example the M60 they put all the ammunition in a carseal as close to the floor of the hull as possible the area least likely to get hit The engineers designing the T-72, T-80 and T-64 could not magically see future They had to work with that they had and that's the approach they want with But clearly you don't know that context likely because all you do is listen to the NATO fanboys and ever do your own research
