Gonna have to be cloud/Switch 2 exclusive, I have modded my switch and pushed it to its limits and I honestly don't think it'll happen on the current hardware.

all the current NSO games aren't cloud streamed. if you have NSO and enter airplane mode you can still play them, it just needs to check if you have a valid NSO subscription once a week. GCN games if they do the multiple in one game would force you to get a high capacity MicroSD if it works the same, i think the best way for GCN games is allowing you to download select games or separate them into proper re-releases.

i don't care about gamecube on switch or any old stuff cuz when they did "gameboy color" on switch it had like 10 games and no pokemon games so they will probably just never have any popular gamecube games

I like the Nintendo Switch online Emulator thingy. Yesterday I had to go on a long car ride without any internet and I was able to play some fun SNES and N64 games during the entire ride. so if they make a Gamecube app and it'll be online only that'll be sad. mailny cause I could then just use my steam deck to play Gamecube games offline while being outside.

Back when we got Metroid prime and Pikmin 1&2 separately plus Thousand year door recently, I thought that meant we wouldn’t be getting GameCube on Nso but I guess anything is possible.

Came to this after digging through a lot of Nintendo Switch successor leaks and rumors for fun and curiosity, and then finding out through various means that there's evidence including that KZbin survey that the Switch successor is going to be named the "Switch Attach". I'm naturally skeptical of leaks so I don't fully believe everything yet, but that being said, the Switch Lite and Switch OLED were indirectly revealed via KZbin surveys before they were actually revealed, so there's precedence for this to be genuinely real. Not to mention it's being listed alongside the PS5 and Xbox Series X, the two current 9th gen consoles, and the Switch successor, no matter what its name may be, is by all hallmarks going to be Nintendo's proper entry into the 9th generation of consoles, and their competitor to the PS5 and Series X. PlayStation 5 vs Xbox Series X vs Nintendo Switch Attach as the three 9th gen consoles from the three main game console companies, checks out. And as much as I hate to admit it, even as a longtime Nintendo fan and devotee, but I think the Switch successor being called the "Switch Attach" is honestly very believable and knowing Nintendo's long history in the video game business, is completely in-character for them to name it as such. They love eccentricity in the names of their consoles, and "Switch Attach" has a special click to it when you say it out loud, with the "ch" sound at the end of both words, and the symmetry of both words being six letters apiece, I can see this being a name Nintendo would give such a console. That said, I think the "Switch Attach", if that ends up being its name, is going to do fine. The Wii U's failure is a bit nuanced: while its awful marketing alongside its name was part of it, the other part was the shortcomings of the original Wii itself. The Wii was marketed entirely to casuals who quickly dropped it like a rock afterward, while its underpowered graphics combined with the Wii's complete reliance on its motion control gimmick both alienated core/hardcore gamers and third-party developers which led to it not being truly taken seriously as a video game console, and then when the Wii U arrived, the casuals didn't care about the Wii anymore, and the Wii U went the other extreme in trying to appeal to core gamers, but most devoted gamers were still burned by the Wii and the third party support was ultimately still lacking, and the Wii U had a pretty paltry launch lineup. The end result is that the Wii U ended up appealing to basically no one except the most devoted Nintendo fans. The Switch has largely avoided that problem as it appeals to every audience and has maintained a way to keep appealing to both audiences. Having a few casual Wii-style games like ARMS and Switch 1+2, and then having BOTW at launch for a proper core gaming experience, was great off the bat, and they kept it going. The Switch has maintained longevity so much so that it's still very relevant today, something the OG Wii lacked. Switch Attach if Nintendo communicates its deal properly will still sell. Not to mention the Switch Attach will have one thing the Wii U never had: Pokemon. Mainline Pokemon is a system seller and the fact that Gen 10 (and likely Gen 11 too) will be on it and only it will compel many people to buy the Switch Attach so they can play those games. Pokemon is so powerful that it helped the 3DS get good sales even in the midst of the Wii U's flop. I think even if the Switch Attach gets a rough start, Pokemon will eventually be its saving grace in terms of sales. Either way, the next Switch console, even if it gets this weird name, is going to be alright I feel.

If you do to their website and watch an uncompressed version of metroid prime 4, you can tell its on switch. Dragon quest 3 is the only dragon quest where you play as Erdrick. The only relation between the 3 I think are the final bosses, wear his armor, get his sword, and he is mentioned throughout the games as "The Legendary Hero". I guess after the first 2, they were like "I guess we should make a game with him in it to show how awesome this legendary hero is"

Motion controls is like VR, it's a niche gimmick not truly supported by a large percentage of players. Give me TV hookups and a serviceable controller and I'm right as rain.

The proper order for the first three Dragon Quests is III, I, II. DQ3 is a prequel to DQ1 and DQ2.

I am pretty sure this is switch one gameplay because this was a switch trailer. Nintendo has never to my knowledge put out a trailer with gameplay that wasn't indicative of the actual game.

in Regards to Zelda as a character in this new game, EVERY Zelda shares a name and a 'soul' but they are all very different. So this is just another zelda who prefers magic and staying back than riding on horses and shooting arrows.

I actually don't mind the CoD always online situation... at least they're TRYING to reduce the massive install size and have a reason. Many companies are requiring always-online for single player games anyway, but there's no reason at all for it. The physical versions come with next to nothing on them, and with a 300 GB install size, remember basic PS5's usable storage space is 625 GBs... This one games takes up half of a PS5's available storage! I don't even like CoD, but the only way Switch 2 is getting modern CoD titles is if streaming textures helps reduce install sizes. They will not print physical carts that can hold it, so the only other option would be Cloud (an no one wants that).

Xbox's show was a 5/10. It was okay, nice that there was no wasted time on inclusivity crap. But most of what they showed was stuff that looked the same as everything else, and were 2025 or later lol. Not one thing from Xbox did anything for me. Doom I MIGHT get on Steam, if there is absolutely nothing else to get at that time. Sony's show was 3/10. A flop except for Astro Bot.

That storage for the new COD is horrrrible lmao. Really makes me wonder how the heck is Switch 2 going to get COD games in order to live up to the deal they have with Microsoft. My guess is maybe they'll port older ones mostly. Or make some kind of exclusive COD games that don't eat up your entire storage space lel. But yeah, just tragic on that front. And bless players on other platforms too.
