All well and good with Japanese markings..... Let's see American markings done in the same way... 😉😅

Однако надо сказать, что у авиации простые символы. Почти везде это круги и или звезды Но все равно это метод бред. Мне кажется. Аппликации изобрели не случайно. Например номера у автомобилей уже нельзя нарисовать. Слишком маленькие

This looks great! I would be too intimidated by the PE to even try half of what you did! Any tips for someone who might want to try a ship? I’ve been building mainly armour for the past 3/4 years, so I’m wondering where and how I should start.
@ScaleModelAssassin14 күн бұрын
Thank you! Start with a good brand/kit that fits together well and looks nice without a bunch of extras. Ive been impressed with Flyhawk and Fujimi is nice too (reasonably priced as well). Flyhawk Deluxe level kits come with all the photo etch so thats helpful. Build the superstructure separate from the deck/hull and attach them later in the build. That will make it easier to paint the deck versus the grey superstructure. Aside from that, the plastic glues together just like an armor model so just pick a ship and give it a shot!

I've had mixed results peeling the film off. You've seemed to have it nailed down. What's your process?
@ScaleModelAssassin2 ай бұрын
I've had some minor chipping issues in some cases too. I found that waiting more time for it to dry and set, then lightly picking at the edge with very fine tweezers works fairly well. I'm just guessing but 6+ hours seemed good...I didn't wait days to remove the film.

This might be a dumb question but do you need paint? Like that paint sprayer? It says it comes with paint but idk can’t find a clear answer. Thanks
@ScaleModelAssassin3 ай бұрын
The model doesn't come with paint so you will need to buy it separately. If you buy a paint sprayer (airbrush), it may advertise that it comes with paint, but I would recommend buying your own paint separately from a modelling store. Its better quality and you can get military colors.
@evan.zecchino3 ай бұрын
@@ScaleModelAssassinthank you so much. I’m actually leaning towards hand painting it with a brush instead and also wanted to ask what colors I should get. Any specific brand? I heard the manual gave an outdated 3 tone color code. Thanks again
@ScaleModelAssassin3 ай бұрын
@evan.zecchino Many years ago I used a paint brush and even built this exact plane. I think I was using Model Masters enamels at the time. Using Tamiya brand paints like the instructions specify can be tough to brush paint since they dry rather quickly. It would be hard to get even coverage over a large plane like this. Its been a long time since Ive used a brush but if I were going to do it again, Id look at water based acrylics or enamels. Either way, the key is to thin your paint. Id recommend checking out the "Quick Kits" channel as he brush paints his models and youll be able to pick up some techniques. Theres an infinite number of "grey" colors you could buy so just remember you only have to get close. Colors always look different under different lighting, weathering, layering/thickness of paint, base coats, etc.
