Definitely helpful to know this, as I have these latches. However mine won't retract at all when pressed on the side, so something is jammed inside.
@Bandrik2 күн бұрын
Update: it was the deadbolt plunger that goes in and out. It had broke apart inside where it can't be accessed. The latch assembly it's a part of its just a $8 part at the hardware store. Easy fix. :)

Sorry to hear you’re stuck. Have you tried using a screw driver to push the piece of metal shaped like a C? It’s the part that the rotating door knob mechanism would normally activate. It requires pushing it in the direction of the latch plate. Let me know if you have any luck with this. Here’s a link to a video depicting what I’m talking about. kzbin.info/www/bejne/m6Kqd6BslpKjpLMsi=s1m6o2OEAgNNeATP

Does anyone know of the Mazda torque spec for spark plugs? And are these new NGK plugs already come with a coating on the threads or should we apply anti-seize when installing? I heard that some of these recent new spark plugs should not be applied anti-sieze due to its metal compound used in manufacturing (hope to find out)
@mikebikercanada7 күн бұрын
Very interesting. Thanks for mentioning this Steve 🙏 I’m not sure either. Hopefully someone chimes in with the answer.

Excellent video thank you for doing it. Play some words of wisdom.m Sadly stumped what's causing both fridge and freezer warm on a GE MODEL # GSL22JFPC BS. Have No voltage to the condenser fan motor. Oddly enough if has anything to do with this started after I defrosted the freezer because the drain plug was plugged with debree Caused Ice build up at bottom of freezer. no ice buildup on coils inside. Fan inside runs. No visible damage to control board on back. Compressor doesn't come on

Thanks so much brotha! This was my issue but is there any advice if the actuator lever isn't holding that pin in place? It looks like mine is slipping when turning from cold to hot and sliding out of that channel 🫠 5:42
@mikebikercanada8 күн бұрын
You’re very welcome. Glad my video helped you solve the problem! Mine was slipping out too after reinsertion. So I tried pulling the pin over towards the actuator lever. And the same with the lever, I tried pulling on the plastic in hopes of shifting both pieces closer to each other. So they stop slipping out. At first it didn’t seem like either budged at all. But I think that did the trick because mine hasn’t slipped out since. Give that a try and let us know! You’ll see the pin portion has the cable attached. So my theory was that with time my pin got torqued out of place.

One can't just lift/jack up a vehicle anywhere on a pinch weld. To lift safely & correctly, lift at the double pinch welds whenever using pinch weld jacks/scissor jacks. Use a hockey puck with a slot cut in it, a block of wood cut into a circle with a slot cut into it when using a standard floor jack. If still can't lift vehicle at pinch welds or just don't want to, lift at solid steel area. Sheet metal has a hollowed sound Solid steel has tighter sound.
@kelinjohnson74219 күн бұрын
Hum i think it would also save you some money if you take 20 seconds out to see where the jack points are or check the owners manual. But hey what do i know.

Those are the 4 inside corner jack points on a subaru.. but you don't need this guys shit..just jack it up..

I found these things a niche idea, but when I did more search into them, I learned how dangerous they really are. So I've stuck to what my Pap (Grandpa) taught me growing up; chock the wheels, position jack correctly, jack to appropriate height, place jack stand, lower car onto jack stand (at appropriate spot), give the ol' car a good but not major shake, if it doesn't move then it's safe to get under it. IF it moves, well, you aren't under it so nothing to worry about. (Do all of that at your OWN RISK, I am not liable for anything!)
