Thank you for your research note. Like many of my contemporaries, we are still struggling to fully comprehend the formation of Nigeria and wonder if the architects could have done better to build the nation on a solid foundation. If one thing is clear to me, from some of the research I have conducted, is that the tenet of Nzeogu's 1966 coup was to get rid of corrupt politicians and put an end to rat race which is reminiscent of what is happening today in the Nigeria's politics.

However, it's true that the Nigeria's foundation maybe faulty, it is rather the inability of Nigerians who tookover from colonial powers to do the right things that continue to undermine the country's growth and development. USENI claimed that there was an authorpsy performed on ABACHA. He claimed Abacha died naturally. How come USENI was the only one aware of that authorpsy ?. The man was buried in Kano the very next day after his death according to the Muslim tradition. When and how did the Germans able to carry out the authorpsy USENI was talking about ?.

Pls, i wish to know where Major Kaduna was buried, i need to pay homage. The man was a hero and a brave determined soldier who wants to defuse the blueprint of so called Ahmadu Bello and his then co-host to have held Nigeria in their pocket. There was a reason for 1966 coup, and was to eliminate bad plans elements from the government of Nigeria not to be where we are today.

If he was a patriotic Nigerian, as discovered lately, why did Nigeria call the Jan 1966 coup an Igbo coupe, staged a revenge coupe in July 1966, and organised pogroms against the Igbos around the country? Why did the Nigerian army came to Asaba during the war in 1967, and massarcard Asaba people? This is a cheap propaganda work of the federal government, if Nigeria feels that Nzeogwu was a patriotic Nigerian now let them come out openly, apologize to the Igbos and pay them reparations. Without this whatever you seek to achieve is a wild goose chase.

Many of those in govt are not as patriotic as those whom we condemn. On January 16, 1966 Mr. Gabriel Fagbure made this statement and that is the truth. A marked Swedish Red Cross plane was wilfully shot down at Eket in 1969 killing all crew members and relief workers on his orders, a clear war crime. 2. Mr Murtala Mohammed who was a key organiser of the waves of pogroms against Igbos in Northern Nigeria in 1966 in which 50,000 people were killed. More importantly he was responsible for the massacre of the entire Igbo male population of Asaba in 1967. Do you want more? Aside from canonising them, why censor critical comments about these characters?
