The rank of Commodore is also a flag rank and a Commodore can also be referred to as a flag officer.

A full Admiral rank is reserved for a senior naval officer designated to be the Chief of Defence Staff for the Armed Forces of Nigeria while the Admiral of the Fleet is reserved for the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Yes! You can apply for Direct Short Service Commission. It's not always easy. So make sure you have someone to recommend you strongly
