Another great video. Looking forward to checking out Sara’s content. Christianity held me back from thriving for decades, and basically destroyed how I view myself. I made so many decisions I regret thanks to following a fairy tale based on death and bloodshed from the first to last pages of its holy book.

Because you used words to believe in Christianity you can use words to deconvert. I do not want to go to heaven because it is a cube and I do not want to sing praises day and night. Also why do people strive so hard when only 144,000 are chosen, and they were also pre chosen out of all the humans living in the last 6,000yrs.

Very nice and informative, thought provoking conversation. Like you said there is no second and third coming of Jesus Christ as propaganda. We humans have all the knowledge and are aware of living a humane life. In India I have experienced the radical and fanatical catholic religious preacher’s and believer out helping Jesus Christ to prove his worth and power. And individuals who will not obey they will destroy and further more war within families for destruction of generations to come. India is a beautiful country and very soon the human with materialistic powers no values and mystical power will jointly prove our god is mighty powerful but needed manipulation of humans help to prove his worth displaying the power and influence

“Can’t you stay Mormon just in case it’s true? Not risk going to Outer Darkness?” No, no I cannot, because every one of these doomsday cults are equally plausible- which is to say, not plausible at all. American exceptionalism is 100% a thing for Mormons too. America was divinely designed to produce Mormonism - that’s basically the whole reason. So the founding fathers were essentially pre-Mormons on a divine mission and you can’t say anything bad about them. And the White Supremacy history there is pretty well-documented. The tall, blonde, blue-eyed Jesus 🤣. At least my parents never sold Amway, despite significant peer pressure.

I stopped being a Christian because I got tired of waiting on God/Jesus while innocence was being harmed everyday. Shit got old praying to the Lord to help the kids and other victims. I used to literally cry for the pain of people in this world and God never responded. Then i started cursing god just to get a response....nothing still. My life got a lot better when I gave it all up which is crazy lol most Christians don't even believe me. Tired of the excuses for such evil people experience

Another great talk. One thing that kind of stands out, something I really appreciate about all this is that mostly these are folks that are relatively new to their path. A lot of it makes me want to participate in an interview. Folks need to hear some of what you find out after 15-20 years. Not that it can all be taught or told, but negative nihilism, for example, is possible to completely discard. It is itself a byproduct inherent in, at least Christianity, or perhaps the abrahamic religions in general. "This life means nothing... without Jesus." So when you come out the other end with a human or non existent Jesus, you find that the early church fathers and early thinking's weren't thinking about that stuff very much, or perhaps thinking about it a little too much. Which is completely respectable for their time and situation in history - everything must have seemed for nothing when death and brutality was all around them, more or less. But they were a product of all that as well. Anyway, as someone relatively far along on this journey, and with an overall pretty serious hobby of dealing with the history, philosophy, psychology, for about as long, I feel like I have some perspectives to offer. I'd like to get in touch with Tim, but I'm not very photogenic haha, will have to sort that out. One day Tim! I'm not far from you either, and the idea of a secular church is intriguing, it's not something I imagine myself doing, but it does sound like something I'd want to participate in to some degree. Anyway, just writing this for myself and others, I hope it helps someone.

What you explained is so true, they gaslight you, claim that you aren’t saved by works but then guilt and shame you into always working. And when you go and tell them that you are trying to do all this stuff and it’s causing you to get depressed they say… oh no no no that’s legalism, you just need to rest in Christ work… drove me crazy. I tried so hard to follow this for 3 years and turned into the worse person, depressed, anxious always filled with guilt and shame. I use to have no problem being completely honest with my struggles or speaking my mind but Christian fundamentalism made me so afraid to disagree, to say I was struggling with accepting certain doctrines, I felt like I had to be so fake around people. I lost myself completely m. Now 4 weeks out I’m trying to sort it all out. Trying to connect with me again, after being “delivered to Satan, and verbally bashed for leaving” honestly, Fuck Christianity

I was largely a non-Christian / agnostic until I was 17 when I had a mind-blowing, ecstatic-like experience of the Divine when I decided one day to walk outside from my boarding school in the snow with cigarettes and a sketch pad - and out into the into open countryside. I walked for a bit and then began to sketch a beautiful, old church tower - and after ten minutes, with a cigarette in my mouth, I was suddenly hit by an ecstatic-like experience. Pure, s-x-like joy in my heart and all over. I suddenly forgot all my worries and my rugby strains vanished. I felt completely alive, and integrated, body, mind and soul - and as if my soul (not my genitals) was having an orgasm - and that lasted ages. Nothing worried me. I felt not just an intense joy and peace of mind but also hope and lightness of being. And then I decided to return to school and I saw gold sparkling in the snow for miles arouned. The intense ecstasy-like experience subsided and then I felt this new warm, calm bliss take over. And as I walked into the school I just felt this warmth and love and humour for others. And I clicked with lots of new people I hadn't before. And that night I had ecstatic-like experience of flying at night over the English countryside. And more blissful-like experiences during the day and night that lasted for years - on and off. And the more I prayed to The Christian God, the more I knew it was The Christian God behind all this. Nothing special about me and we all experience things differently (and the same) but one has to be at least proactively open to the divine, I think - and more.

@@edm-london1660 You were a Non-Christian/Agnostic and you have some euphoric experience and you associated it with Christianity? WOW, I know how Christians are and can be, and I got to tell you, that sounded so made up and fake. Either you are and were always a Christian and you made this up or something is terribly wrong with that story. Going back to Christianity would be like going back to drugs or an abusive relationship or choosing to live in a war zone. Like I said, WOW!

1:21:25 Childhood indoctrination and following, cherising, and respecting the close daily examples of our beloved elders (parents, grandparents, aunts , uncles, Sunday school teachers) is a very large factor in the equation of why humans have been so obsessed with religious and spiritual ideas/beliefs. The specific environment experienced by any brain rapidly absorbing information on how to properly behave and how to properly think is a huge factor in creating the mind of any child .

Wow, Ve Marie has a powerful voice and persona. I could easily see her as a corporate CEO or a cult leader. 😮 Might be that type A personality inherited from a powerful mother. But life had other (better) things in store for her. And a"holy trinity" of personal sickness, school hierarchy dilemma, and musical directing caused her to see the light. 🌟 Yay ! Also fascinating detail was to hear about the anti-vegetarian stance mixed into the blood magic sacrifice of Jesus. Fascinating how much it creates more of a cult atmosphere with each meal. Never heard of that particular view ,and being raised a vegetarian Christian I would of found it abhorrent. Though it makes clear how many varieties of Christianity that are out there. Each judging the other as not up to the true par. Thank you for sharing your story. Best wishes for your future endeavors and yoga teaching ! 🧡💛🧡💛🧡💛🧡💛🧡💛🧡
