SO IN ALL TRUTH!! I figured out this exact way of doing this on my own about 5 years ago through trial and error 🤣, this is the first time I’ve seen that someone else has figured it out too! I’m sure I’m not the only one! I was building my first of 3 lowers and after about 20 minutes farting around trying to figure out how to install these without having that particular tool I finally came up with this and I’ve been using it since!!!!!!

Many years ago I bought this setup from you. I never could get it to stay tight. The first few times it came loose I snugged it back down and put a small amount of loctite. Eventually the tiny screws stripped and you were gracious enough to send some but I got frustrated and shelved it. Might be time to bring it back out and try again. I hate tiny Allen screws though. I did like how the low pro mount made the height over bore non-existent.

Man it's not bad but springs would make it a bit more "fiddle proof" but I understand that you tried to make it simple. To me, this would be better than nothing, but just printing a glock frame and buying a build kit would be the best for those on a budget or those who are looking for a self defense gun. Look up chairman won as he made some cool frames and he did it for 19, 17, 42 along with the mini versions of each and a couple of other cool versions like the "x" versions. I'd say this is a great proof of concept and a design training thing.

Yeah...but if you're shooting suppressed and you see increased debris from blowback...will that not just sling it all over your RDS? Wouldn't it be better to position the RDS directly above the ejection port, so neither part of the lens is exposed to the blowback?
