I have a rexing cp duo. It says to mount by the license plate, but I don't think the cameras are waterproof. There is no installation video for this camera specifically, and it's the written directions that say to install it by the license plate, but videos show it in the back window. I can do that because I have opening doors on the back.

@@abacab87 The manual suggests mounting near the license plate, which implies it should handle outdoor conditions, but I couldn’t find an official waterproof rating for the CP Duo. To be safe, I’d recommend reaching out to Rexing support to confirm. If you’re worried about exposure, mounting it inside on the rear window is a solid alternative, as long as you have a clear view. If you do install it outside, I noticed my rear camera has a disconnect point about 3 to 6 inches from the camera. You’ll want to take extra steps to waterproof this connection. If you can route the wiring up into the trunk of a sedan, that could help mitigate water exposure. For a pickup, securing the connection up inside the bumper and using electrical tape or heat-shrink tubing may offer better protection. Let me know what you decide-I’d love to hear how it works for you!

Do you have any idea what would be causing a very slow drip that is coming from the top of the big grey rubber ring gasket just inside the washer that you see when you open the door? I cleaned the filter on the lower left front… there was very little debris in it.
@dissectingdiy
@dissectingdiy Ай бұрын
@@annmartin8932 based on the description it’s tough to diagnose. But it sounds like the area where water comes into the washer. If it has a constant drip. This could be a valve. It’s not coming out the door? Just inside. If it’s dripping out the door it’s almost always debris in the door and gasket making and imperfect seal. If the gasket has deteriorated. It can cause that leak. If I got it wrong let me know.

@@dissectingdiy Thanks very much for responding. No water is coming out of the door and otherwise the washer is working normally. No error codes have shown up, no warning chime (it's a Samsung). It drips once every 15 seconds or so. If I were to open the filter door and allow the black tube to drain out accumulated water since I last did it a couple of days ago, my guess is there would be about a quart. It's dripping from the small circular hole in an oblong plug that's located at the top of the the grey rubber door gasket.

As far as the snow blower goes, the 2 stage gas machines aren't better with wet snow. So the EGO did well. The snow shovel, in my opinion, did a great job. I had a 34-inch john Deer 2 stage snow blower 10 hp and sold it. I bought an electric battery-operated snow blower, and it works way better for me. Now keep in mind i have a driveway that can accommodate 6 full size pick up trucks and a semi long walkway to my backyard, and I'm 64 with onset oustio arthritis in my lower back. The Ryobi snow blower is easier for me to move around and get the job done.

Seems like the shovel is useless on stairs. Also does not look too useful on snow deeper than a couple inches or wet snow. Moral of the story - keep it for light snow, otherwise bring out the big guns.

Just something that might be a help, if you don’t have a small bottle washer of some sort, I have put two straws together, one end and to the other and then take a pair of small scissors and cut about a 1 inch slice in the end of one of the straws and go around the straw with small little slices Then use the end of your scissors or a butter knife as you would with Christmas ribbon that you’re trying to curl, and curl those ends a little bit that will give you the absolute perfect tool to get in there. It’s lightweight. It will not harm anything and it will pull out any of the lent and fiber that is Stuck Back in there where you cannot fit your fingers.? trust me on this it works!

Thanks for the video. I have a leak that has been caused by the gasket not being properly sealed at the bottom. This happened because we've been drying the seal between washes and evidently we accidentally tugged on it too hard and pulled it out of the channel. I have a video that shows a 6-8" section of the gasket that isn't tucked in like the rest of the gasket. I haven't been able to push it back in to place. Do you have any suggestions on how to do it without taking off the front cover?
@dissectingdiy
@dissectingdiy 3 ай бұрын
@@MahlmeisterTV so in am unsure where the video you said you have is. I did check your channel. Is the pump video the one? If this is the front seal on the washing machine where it meet the door. There is actually a wire I believe that goes around the front that holds this in place. Sometimes if pulled out it just gets pulled out of place and the wire attempt to close as it is a bit of a tight fit. Probably why it isn’t just going back into place. It just needs to be manipulated and reseated. Do be careful as they can be broken.

@@MahlmeisterTV it looks like the door boot seal has been separated on the inside of the washer. If you take the front cover off there is a clamp that holds the boot on the inside. This may not require a front boot replacement. But I’d consider it. It does require the front panel to be removed and that to be loosened and reseated properly. While I don’t have a KZbin video on how to do this. I would search how to replace this models door boot gasket. If you choose not to replace the videos will show what I’m talking about. Keep in mind the wire that hold the door boot seal to the front of the washers front panel as damaging this will require replacement as well and may add repair time.

They do get stuck and can break trying to get them out. Run a clean cycle. Hot after the cycle is completed start as if going to lead. Once the Pump drains turn it off. You can try then but be warned the water may still be not coming out. So do be careful.

This is a great idea, but I wonder why it's not used more widely. I can only find 4 or 5 different ones like this, they're all from China or India, and they seem a little sketchy. Pretty much all the good reviews are from hopeful people, but not ones who have actually put out fires with them. Why aren't any major brands of fire extinguishers making these? I'm tempted to get several and test one or two myself, but that can get expensive. But I've been the first bystander to stop and aid on the scene of two vehicle fires before, and they go up extremely quick. Both went from a small engine fire to an engulfed vehicle in about 5 minutes. Both were within 4 blocks of a fire station, but they were both engulfed before the firetruck arrived. I may be a little paranoid, but I have a 25 year old truck with half a million miles on it, so I'd like to do all I can to protect it.

My washing machine has no error codes and seems to work fine BUT smells terrible. The past few weeks I drain this hose after every wash and there is so much water in there. Any suggestions on what I should do next or why my drainage hose is full everytime? Thank you for the video!
@dissectingdiy
@dissectingdiy 5 ай бұрын
@@daniellecarter9714 It sounds like your washing machine might have a blockage or drainage issue causing the bad smell and excess water in the hose. If you started by checking and cleaning the drain pump filter, and drum to remove any debris, mold, or buildup. Then the clock could be located in your drain hoses. One is at the base of the drum the other to the left of the filter housing. Which is the drain hose leading to your plumbing. Ensure the drain hose is correctly positioned and not clogged, and inspect the drainage system/pipe to ensure there are no blockages. Running a cleaning cycle with a washer cleaner can help eliminate odors. If these steps don’t resolve the issue, it could be a problem with the drain pump or internal parts, and you may need to consult a professional repair technician.

Your video cut out when attaching the main horizontal stabilizing bar to the hitch receiving T bar, and I didn't get to see if the 2 bolts let you adjust how far the horizontal stabilizer bar went in (closer to the tail gate). I would like to see the hoist be able to safely reach the truck bed center for the bulky items rather than so close to the truck bedside wall.
