I never realised how young they looked when I found this song way back when. That is perhaps testiment to how much I have aged myself

I live in Canada, but can't believe this is 10 years old. I have watched all 3 series twice. Such a wonderful series and perfect music.

Met a Detectorist in Norfolk last year. I asked if he ever found gold. He said "yes, enough each year to pay for a family holiday. A few years ago I found enough to pay for a complete new kitchen for the wife, £20K!" 😮

By far the most beautiful piece I've heard in years. Johnny, Laura, I think I'm gonna fall in love with you both. This simply can't be unheard.

Still such a lovely song, so wistful and sweet. And these two artists' voices blend together perfectly, and yet are distinctive enough that the the quality of angelic warmth is felt. Anything but simple. Love this, favourite, a classic for sure. Thanks from Canada.

He added another verse to this song to make it long enough to record but the only version I heard had it at the end of the song and it needs to be in the middle. The end of the second verse should definitely be the climax. His very nasal voice suits the song.

Will you search through the loamy earth for me Climb through the briar and bramble I'll be your treasure I felt the touch of the kings and the breath of the wind I knew the call of all the song birds They sang all the wrong words I'm waiting for you, I'm waiting for you (Mmmmmm) Will you swim through the briny sea for me Roll along the ocean's floor I'll be your treasure I'm with the ghosts of the men who can never sing again There's a place follow me Where a love lost at sea Is waiting for you Is waiting for you

Music is contextual. This tune is brilliant and synonymous with the TV show. Both are marvellous.

Gold dance 🕺 you couldn't help but wait when it does happen in the show. So sad they won't make any more, but it will live long in the memory of fans worldwide just as the show made history come alive. I personally will miss Andy, Lance, and the Danebury metal detecting club DMDC.
