Sorry for taking so long I had to do some research, they are called Black Necked Stilt. They build there nest on top of abandoned ant piles and lay their nests. I always have some water in that area so its been a haven for them.

It really does, I think the grass is striving to survive 🤣 They do but have other means of watering them ether by reserved water from other places or wells, but that is also being monitored.

Well we got 2.5 inches of rain at the hay fields, but it was absorbed by the wind. 🤣 Hope I have some moisture to green the grass up some to make hay. It's dont look good for us and thinking I will not be selling any hay and feed my own cattle.

Its all good Jim. I think I will be cutting hay soon. Dont know if I will be selling any hay and possibly will use all of it for our cattle. Our summer water situation does not look good per the weather guessers.

A month ago, water in the main ditch was about 3 ft deep, today the bottom of the ditch is visible........the Cotton Peanut and corn boys could use some Water, Our Regrowth keeps getting a shower about every 10 days... nothing big but keeps it going.....

I make a gallon and normally its about 3 Tbs. to a gallon of water, you can go a bit stronger but this has worked for me.

At the time of Springing none. I had disked it 3 different time to kill any new growth. And before it had been planted in Sugar cane for several years. Only problem was Johnson grass. Click on my channel and see some of my videos where I use glyphosate in a wicker to target only the unwanted weeds.

Thanks. I have some others that I made with one inch square metal tube and have a hay rack on top for feeding steers and show heifers. They are nice to have and easy to clean. Have a great week.

I've always thought it was nice that plastic barrels have a nice line to follow when cutting them in half 👍 Lots of uses for them! Hopper for augers, feed bunks, mineral and salt feeders, covers for things.. Pro tip, for salt and mineral feeders use stainless steel hardware!!! Looks good 👍 hopefully you shake that crud!!
