She is my favorite portrayal of Elizabeth. She masters the balance that the character has between being polite and kind enough to get along with people while also strong-minded and witty. She was always very good at looking like she was struggling to hold back how she really felt about a situation because she needed to be polite and civil. In the 2005 portrayal, I find myself wanting more of that restraint. Ehle and this whole cast did more reserved, polite acting and it feels more powerful, ironically.

It's a crying shame that reactors only seem to care about the newest film, and that hardly anybody watches this version - it's the best adaptation of P&P IMO.

This adaptation is so good, it’s not my favorite Pride and Prejudice adaptation, but it’s right up there with the 1995 adaptation for me.

I love both the 1995 and 2005 adaptations, I do prefer the 1995 adaptations but both adaptations are great in my opinion. I think Colin and Matthew were both great as Mr Darcy. I also loved Jennifer and Kiera as Elizabeth. I also think both Mr. Collins’s actors were fantastic, they both made me laugh. Anyways, I love both adaptations
