Hey, first off thanks for watching. Second, we appreciate the feedback. I used first and business to describe the class that we were flying cause colloquially I felt they were interchangeable since it was the top class that SAS offered. If it’s not right, okay. I do not speak Italian, I speak English and Spanish. Before, during, and after this trip I listened to “how to pronounce” for certain words online and via apps and did my best to pronounce them correctly. I googled a bunch of these during the process of making these videos from Europe and honestly I just suck at Italian and no matter how many takes or how many times I repeated things over and over I still got em wrong. I wasn’t going for laughably bad, but thanks for letting me know.

This was our second cruise with a Central Park balcony. We love the room. Also had one on Oasis of the Seas a few years ago.

On our sailing in May, the average age was probably in the mid to upper 50s. It leans older but there are some families and young couples/groups on board as well.

The balcony doors have a decent amount of sound proofing but there are times you can still hear what is being played on the pool deck, albeit faintly. At night the Central Park area is quiet and never affected our sleep.

The cruise director Mike we mentioned in this video was Mike Szwajkowski, who is currently on Icon of the Seas. We’ve had Mike Szwajkowski on Wonder and Odyssey and he’s one of the best cruise directors out there. Nicole and I need to go back on Ovation, we sailed that ship for our Alaskan cruise in 2021 and absolutely loved it.

The tables are on a pole and can only be rotated so you can move it out of your way or bring it closer to you.

We prefer ocean view as well but sometimes you have to try something different and we really enjoyed the view of the Aquatheater from the balcony.

It’s a designation that Royal Caribbean gives the room. If you look at their deck plans each type of cabin has a specific code. For instance a connecting promenade interior view room has a code of CP on the deck plan. On the same deck plan the regular promenade view room are designated 2T. We’ve never asked what the codes mean but we’ve include it in our descriptions incase people find it useful and if you’re looking at this room and another room you like has the same designation it should be very similar.

Completely agree about the magician, the fact he didn’t look anything like his promotional head shots makes us think he was trying to revive his career as well. We were surprised how much we enjoyed this cruise, I honestly wasn’t expecting to live it but it was fun. We’re definitely going to try one of the Edge-class ships next for celebrity. $40 a day is a lot. For the 2 of us our drink packages were less than $30 a day, or about $259 after taxes and gratuities total. Yes they have juices, regular and decaf coffee, teas, etc for no additional charges. They have drink stations set up in the oceanview cafe on each side that have all the included drinks. The included drinks are also available other places on the ship as well. If you’re buying a la carte water, soft drinks, and lemonades are $4-5 each, Red Bull is $6-7 each.

Some really good advice and feed back, thank you. We drive down from DFW so we like to stay on the island, makes it feel more like a vacation than more of the same by staying in Texas city or places around there. NASA is pretty awesome as well.

@@letsgetwanderlost We drive from OKC and like to get past the Houston traffic.. I have looked sat staying on the island, but it is usually more expensive and since we are only there to stay the night before the cruise. it doesn't really matter.. We also cruise from New Orleans quite a bit. Good times..

The slide on Utopia is slightly long so there may be some differences in how the slide looks but overall the view should be the same.

On a daily basis they always had some sort of fish on offer, but there was only one day that I would say had a true seafood section. That day they had a section with shrimp/clams/mussels in addition to the usual fish. Hope that helps, thank you!

@@letsgetwanderlost I looked hard at getting a Veranda stateroom, but I priced it out at the All-Inclusive price, which includes their basic internet (good for testing, emails, and social media, but not streaming) and their basic drink package (good for drinks up to $10, no premium liquors or premium wines). The price per person to go with a Sky Suite that includes their premium internet package and premium drink package, really wasn't that bad. I will let you know if it was worth it when we get back.

We haven’t tried Liberty yet, but it’s on our list. Symphony is an excellent ship

Hi, thanks for watching. I don’t believe there is any arrogance, We were on an excursion on Santorini that was a tour of the island. When we arrived back in Fira that is when the excursion ended, we didn’t have the ability to give ourselves more time for the cable car unless we were to select a different excursion. This excursion had a guaranteed return and was what we wanted to do while we were in port. The mule trail was slippery and steep which wasn’t the easiest walk down and I am uncomfortable around horses which made it nerve-racking. It’s a dumb thing to be uncomfortable about but hey it happens. I’m not sure why Nicole said 5-10 minutes and I missed it during the editing process maybe she meant from when we sat down in the cable car and everyone loaded up to when we stepped out at the top of the hill, cause that total time according to the timestamps on my phone is about 5 mins. I don’t know but good catch.

It’s an extra that you don’t have to spend unless you want to. You’ll still have free options like the windjammer and the main dining room. Like most companies nowadays, Royal will always try to find ways to monetize extras especially since they have billions of dollars in debt from the shutdown.

@letsgetwanderlost I guess I'm spoiled after going on a Virgin Voyage and having all fine dinning included. Heck even Carnival includes more dinning options. I'm a foodie and being confined to the main dinning room or a buffet for dinner after spending all that money doesn't seem right

@rosettyromero219 there are other options too depending on what ship you’re on. El loco fresh, solarium bistro, cafe promenade, Johnny rockets for breakfast, Central Park cafe, fish and ships, etc. Royal has a selection of specialty dining options and complementary options just like Carnival does, just have to check and see what is on the ship you’re going on.

We were very surprised how much we enjoyed Reflection and as long as the activities and the upkeep are similar you should enjoy Silhouette. It will be more subdued than a cruise aboard a ship like Wonder but I think Silhouette will be a perfect ship for that itinerary. Looking at those ports and still having 3 seas days, we’re jealous and I’m probably going to check some websites to see if we can book a similar itinerary in the next couple years.

We hope you have fun on your cruise and enjoy the ship. I don’t think voyager is awful, just not what it could be or should be.

They list $5 an hour or $22 a day for parking on their website. You’ll probably have to call or email them and ask but I’ve been to hotels that let you park before your check in time and their customer service is really good at this hotel. Europe is a little looser with their tipping. We tip because it’s ingrained into us from working in the service industry for most of our lives. But tipping isn’t expected there it’s more of a bonus. We tipped on both drives. I gave some euro coins on the way from the airport to the hotel and I tipped in the Uber app from the hotel to the cruise port. I believe it was around 10%

Do you think we can order a taxi from the hotel to the port at the hotel reception without using the Uber application?

Did the taxi accept cash?

@cyleung6048 yes. We’ve done this in Europe. We’ve had hotels call us black cars and taxis and they’ve always been super helpful with those requests. There’s also plenty of taxis driving around that area of Barcelona that you can also flag them down if needed.

That depends on the taxi driver and their company, it was about 50/50 in our experience. Some preferred taking Euros, others said no cash only card. That would be a question I’d ask the driver specifically when you reserve it.

Australian cruises are on our bucket list for sure, one of these days we’re going to plan a big trip there. We prefer the Quantum Class ships like Ovation, Anthem, Quantum, etc over the Voyager class ships usually but Voyager is a good ship even despite her age.

I guess they justify it with supply and demand; there’s a ton of people that get off of the ships and there’s limited resources available so they feel they can raise their prices. I know the city and state have also limited the number of people that can arrive by cruise ship per day as well.
