No one will beat this performance ever,... It was all so simple, no big show like nowadays with fireworks, lightshows and what not ... Just Freddie and his buddies stealing the show with pure presence

Angra: 1991 Carry on: 1993 Nightwish: 1996 If there is any inspiration or influence, it was in the opposite direction... And believe me, there are many bands that did this, just research the data and the bands of the time. Here in Brazil we usually call this style 'melodic metal', which is a little different to 'power metal', because it has a great influence on classical music and tries to 'raise the level of difficulty and improvement' in each member of the band (it's not just one or two who stand out for their 'high technique', all the members follow this direction - even the bass player, a violinist who participates in a specific song, etc.).

Why are you looking at each other, missing the crowd participation and singing over it? This was one of the reasons this performance is legendary as Freddie played the audience unlike any artist at the concert.

Young man, you and I are probably of similar age. I see a lot of myself in you -- that is, a Eurasian appearance. My family comes from Siberia and as you may know, there was once a frozen landbridge that connected Eurasia to North America (Alaska and Canada specifically). We may share some ancestry from the indigenous folk. My mother and cousins all have done the DNA test for ancestry and the Western provider says we have "North American Indian". It seems like we could potentially be related in a distant sense. You look so much like me. It's crazy! Thanks for this great reaction video to one of my favourite songs by the Man in Black :)

Here they had Richard Wright and the bassist they hired doing Roger Waters singing parts but Roger certainly sounded better doing it himself. Gotta say on the live version of Run Like Hell from this same performance the kid on bass sounds EXCELLENT covering Roger's parts in that song.

Started in 1967. First album was Piper at the Gates of Dawn, guitarist and vocalist Syd Barrett left due to Mental issues and the classic lineup of David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Nick Mason and Richard Wright was formed. This video was made in 1994 12 years after Roger Waters left. They would play one more time the 4 of them at Live Eight in 2008 and that was the last time the 4 would be together. Richard Wright has since passed away and David Bilmour and Roger Water renewed their feud.

People also ask Who originally did Crazy Little Thing Called Love? Queen "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" is a song by the British rock band Queen. Written by Freddie Mercury in 1979, the track is included on their 1980 album The Game, and also appears on the band's compilation album Greatest Hits in 1981.

I'm 73. Was never a huge Queen fan. Liked some songs and some of those songs I liked alot. Everytime I watch this I get a tear in my eye. The realization of how great Freddie was. It saddens me we lost him when he was so young. Nobody before or since has owned a live stage like Freddie. He was simply magic. R I P Freddie. We all miss you.

God awful video. And then I hear her father say, Next up, Black Hole Sun!," which happens to be the absolute worst video ever created for a song. It takes a great song and reduces it to hideous imagery, so bad that anyone watching it never even hears the song they're so overwhelmed by the video's odor casted over the entire thing. Don't even know how that unfortunate decision on his part turned out five years ago, but I'll bet it killed any desire she might have had to explore rock music. God, I hated those early 90s "concept videos," where the videographer obviously just didn't get it while strong arming "his vision" of the song on the rest of us. In contrast, an unsung videographer in 1990 who did get the music and dismissed his own ego in order to place emphasis on the song, musicians and the event taking place around it, will never be known. Pantera's "Cowboys From Hell" and "Walk" were absolute genius in the way they took these songs and raised them up to even higher levels of intensity. Those considered the "artistes" of the day were never anything other than uninspired, narcissistic hacks with a quick tongue and a mediocre wit.
