A couple of notes that may interest you... They posted the Metallica cover for their relatives to watch with no intention of trying to get public reaction--it wasn't a gimmick. They have also turned down Disney and several labels to stick with their own music. They were once asked by a label exec if they would rather play in front of 12 people or 12,000 and they responded, "If it means playing the music we want to play, then 12." They rock!

Well a good think that they're not greedy and focus on their craft, and is because they are coming from a middle class household, their parents are professionals in their work (but no musicians), so they did not have big hardships in Mexico like some peasants that come to the US. That being said: their not hungry for money and fame they just want to create music.

Son keeps making astute comments, and appreciating what he's seeing and listening to. Dad filtering everything through a predisposition to skepticism and criticism (and a tinge of misogyny?), every compliment is begrudging. The band is incredibly tight. Most bands are not this tight live. The technical ability required to play this song is far greater than you credit, too.
@MaddogJones5 жыл бұрын
You guys are both right about the meaning of the song. Dust to Dust is the first song and prologue to the concept album Queen of the Murder Scene. The album follows the story of a woman overcome by her infatuation and obsession that it leads to herfall into mania and psychopathy that leads her to murder and finally suicide as she battles her id and inner demons. The songs on the album follow her path and are broken down into chapters. Although the album is a concept album all of the songs have a unique and original sound. The Warning started making music very young Paulina and Alejandra at 3 and Dany 5, all learning classical piano. They got the video game Rock Band and fell in love with the feeling of performing on other instruments. Their father asked if they want to learn another instrument and the girls jumped at the opportunity and gravitated to the instruments they played in Rock Band. They had been uploading their musical journey to KZbin for their family to see and had wanted to try and play music together as a band around 2013 and had rehearsed for a small performance for their school xmas show. Well They loved the experience so much they began learning and playing cover songs of hard rock and metal bands, One song in particular shot them into the limelight. That song, "Enter Sandman" by Metallica had gone viral (currently over 19000000 views) and had gotten the attention of Metallica, Dee Snyder and The Ellen Show!. Ellen Degeneres invited the band to play live on her show, to which they accepted and played Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne, after the performance Ellen and Target awarded the sisters $10000 each to attend Berklee School of Music in Boston. After completing Berklee The Warning wrote, composed and recorded an EP called Escape the Mind in 2015 to experience that whole process and to determine what type of music they liked to make... Thankfully they chose Rock/Hard Rock! They performed a number of small and large shows afterward and began writing and composing new material for their first full length album XXI Century Blood in 2017. They supported this album with some very high profile gigs like opening for Def Leppard and separately The Killers for two shows each in Mexico. Also following other large rock bands in a couple music festivals. In 2018 they wrote and recorded Queen of the Murder Scene and released it in November of that year and have toured Mexico and South American venues. In June of 2019 they released a single, Narcisista. A scathing rebuke of their Mexican critics that had accused the of being "Malinchista" a Mexican term used to call out cultural traitors because the group has only recorded English language songs. Well this song is in Spanish and is is full of attitude and angst toward those critics. This was recorded live in June 2019 st Foro Didi in Monterrey Mx (their hometown) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/hWiscnieg5mFg68 . The Warning is totally fan funded through Patreon, KZbin and crowdfunding platforms like GoFundMe and Kickstarter. They have turned down offers from record labels and talent shows like American Idol because they did not want to lose their control of their music, image and wanted to focus on learning. In fact in one interview with a record label they were asked if they would rather play to 12 people or 12000. Paulina piped up and said The Warning would rather play in front of 12 if it meant they would keep their integrity and could play the music they want to play, how they want to play... That is the most Rock n Roll quote ever! So now you've been WARNED! I hope you will check out more of their music and see how they have grown since this performance only two years ago. I'll start by saying nice reaction. I know you are looking more for "metal", and they are not a metal band. They are a rock/hard rock band, but they have played some metal festivals. In this performance, Dany on guitar is 18, Pau on drums is 16 and Ale on bass is 13 years old. Dany does the majority of the vocals, but Pau does a few songs and can step up and do most songs, but Dany actually can hit both higher and lower notes than Pau. Ale can sing lead but doesn't like to. You actually did a pretty good job at capturing the essence of the song. It's the prologue to their concept album Queen of the Murder Scene. The idea is that this is the ghost of the main character telling you to come on in, and let her tell you the story of about what happened to her. In the story, it follows a woman as she progresses from obsessing over an unrequited love, to murder, through psychosis until the Grim Reaper comes and finishes her off and she dies. A record label isn't going to let any band create a concept album, much less teenage girls of this age. It was quite well done if you ask me. Best one since Queensryche Operation Mindcrime. The Spanish in the song is a preacher giving a sermon. Their manager Rudy appeared on stage for this part. He also did it on the album. It's something they have only done a couple of times for special performances. This show was the night the album Queen of the Murder Scene was released. I recommend you check it out. I think you'll enjoy it overall. Not asking for a reaction, but a recommendation for your listening pleasure. #Chemsquad #TWA I won't give you my metal tomatoes because I'm obviously already a fanboy. lol

I’m like others here have said, what did you expect for 14-9 years old band members, far from mediocre. I’m at a loss for what was so confusing about the manager doing that brief speech, part of the song -clearly a speech of some kind. If you get a chance to listen to the whole album in order i think you’d understand the song better, far from “basic”. I dare say even more established would have a hard time doing a concept album-yet these teenagers pulled it off with flying colors nothing “basic” about. @Blake Turner That is exactly the point... have you ever heard punk or rock music in you life at all???, it is mimicking a megaphone... yes the quality is supposed to sound like that.... every other punk song has a megaphone section of a discourse being spoken while the melody is on, they were just using a well known resource of punk or protest music in general, what the manager said is part of the song and is a motivational speech in Spanish, in a a few words it basically says "Stop pulling down your own comrades in to the darkness change yourself and seek for the light".
@TimberWolf7625 жыл бұрын
Queen of the Murder Scene is a concept album which tells the story of a disturbed young woman's inner journey from desire to obsession to murder to self-loathing to suicide. Dust to Dust is a prologue. The Spanish section is that of a preacher saying that you can receive salvation but it is something that you must work for. The lyrics have deeply religious undertones - life is short and unpredictable (“How quickly things can unfold”); there is an afterlife (“and we shall start again” and “the truth found in death”); we should distrust false prophets (“where are you going? Don’t trust all that you hear”); and judgement (“I don’t seek right or wrong”).

Respectfully, can you point me in the direction of all of these amazing, ground-breaking artists who have done very respectable to good Metallica covers before the collective age of 12? I think you mentioned Silverchair...that was what? 22 years ago? I really liked them BTW. Maybe they did a Metallica cover but I can't remember. However, that's all you got as an example? And the Alien whatchamacallits? PS - I don't really have an issue with your honest review and I can't argue with the 85 (although I think the boy is closer at 89 ;-), but one thing that I think was lost in the wash, or might have been hard to know, is that this entire performance was the premier "album launch" performance in which they did the entire second half of QOTMS for the very first time. And at a very high altitude to boot as CDMX is about a mile and a half above sea-level. So in all honesty, this live show, as good as it is/was, still had a bit of a rawer, unpolished edged due to the circumstances surrounding it. Yet none of us in the faithful TWA are looking for high-polish and pitch perfect pop vocals from our hard rock rising stars. :-) And I will say that having seen them live myself last January, even this pro shot video has difficulty capturing how sonically powerful and impressive their music is. Ale, the bassist can move A LOT of air and when you hear Dany and Pau belt these songs in person, you realize just how much rock attitude and passion they have to go with the talent. Hope you stay with them like you say...they will eventually win you over if you don't bring unrealistic or unfair expectations to the experience. No one said this was gonna be Tool 2.0. Maybe Rush 2.0 over time as they continue to hone their skill and progress as musicians. Innovation will come, but 32 original compositions before the combined age of 48?? That's impressive no matter how you slice it. And most of them are damn good, straight forward, honest, passion-fueled rock.

Nice compliment, comparing them to Silverchair! That's pretty cool. Everybody else has already explained to you, so I'm not going to elaborate. What I will say is I love your attempt at Spanish translation. Also, I really liked how y'all reflected on them without knowing a whole lot about the difference from when they were just doing cover songs in their basement for their family and friends to see. Yes, now this is all their original music; although they have done a kick-ass cover of another Metallica song as an encore at a very special showcase at the beginning of this year. I loved what you say about Pau being MVP. I think that's fair to say so. Once you get to know more about them you may see why pointing out which sister is more valuable to the band is kind of useless. They're all incredibly talented and bring each a special element to the band. Pau is amazing, though. Very much so. Fun fact: She uses pink colored drumsticks. For me, when they're coming out of the break and Pau's singing the chorus just as she breaks into her final line and she hits the drums with both sticks the background changes and there she is singing at the top of her lungs, banging on her drums and it just looks so electric. A perfect moment to explain Pau. Great. I'm glad you like The Warning. I hope even on a personal side that you explore the band way more. You might see why us fans are so rabid. Huge mistake having a go at these girls when they did enter the sandman. ..the youngest was just 9 years old. ... normally he is pretty professional with his reaction but took no account of there age. ..the warning are a super group in the making and have the potential to be as big as muse filling stadiums and arenas in the next few years. ..just absurd attack on them when they were kids as that enter the sandman performance was great for there respective ages at the time.

I was here watching this reaction two and a half months back, an hour or so before this new decade. It started me watching more reactions to this band. In fact, I hadn't even realized the new year had come until an hour or more later as my focus was solely on these three sisters! I wanted to come back to comment and thank you for this reaction because this influenced my decision to replace Metallica as my favorite band. Metallica was basically my fave band since the late 90s, but I didn't place them on the mantel until roughly ten years ago. Now, I have The Warning there. I kind of have them both as my all-time favorite, because I cannot devalue Metallica from all the enjoyment I received all these decades. But my current all-time fave is definitely The Warning. The Runaways were my second favorite band for a very long time, and The Warning remind me of them. It's funny that the only two bands I've ever liked hearing live on CD were The Runaways and Cheap Trick. Now, my current favorite band, I have found, are a band I prefer to hear their live output rather than their studio versions. So, again, thank you, ChemicalReactions!

Just to respond to the multiple negative/attacking comments on our reaction: yes, I was not that impressed with their Enter Sandman cover, but of course that is fully understandable given their age. That being said, we really enjoyed this song and can totally see the immense growth in them as artists as I think we say very clearly towards the end. Getting turned from a negative opinion to a positive one in a span of one reaction, that’s a huge win to me. Please, let’s keep the discussion positive!
@scottlafleur41485 жыл бұрын
Sorry if you felt attacked. Warning fans are very loyal. I notice most of the negative comments were not about the actual song you were reacting to. They were in response to a song your viewers don't get to see. The Enter Sandman cover. So I thought you commenting on a song you weren't going to show us was a little unfair. All is good. I left one negative and a very positive comment about your over all reaction.
@LaredoIsntSoBad5 жыл бұрын
If you can't take the negative comments along with the positive then what are you doing reacting to videos in the first place? Look for another hobby if you find it disappointing that not everybody will like your reviews. It comes with the territory. It's that simple.

@@LaredoIsntSoBad Then again, I think it's great if reactors are honest in their opinions because these reactions would be useless if they said that every song is great. Even The Warning fans have different views on different songs ( _to be expected because their songs really differ from each other in many ways_ ) but very few think that any of their songs are bad. This reactor didn't think this song was bad and since it's almost impossible to know which of their +35 originals would suit him we can only hope that we can convince him to try a few more. That'll be hard with rough comments. 😜
@LaredoIsntSoBad5 жыл бұрын
I am very fair and yes I do agree that not every warning song is great but I would never rip children who are just starting off and say.."I wasn't that impressed". Mind you the band is already older and more experienced but what if they were just starting off? This guy has no compassion about what message he sends out period. If it were his kids in the band I'd bet you he would have a hard time with criticism from strangers. Believe that! This guy needs to do food reviews or something. At age 6, Alejandra was playing Diabelli on piano. At seven years of age, she was playing bass. At 7, we see Paulina playing drums, and even singing along. Dany was playing guitar at age 9. Their cover of "Enter Sandman" was not a mediocre performance! Even Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett tweeted, "The drummer kicks maximum ass." Alejandra was 9, Paulina was 12, and Daniela was 14.

I'm always surprised by the confusion shown by reactors. Some seem to think that some random guy wandered onto the stage. Hey, the camera is on him, there's a microphone in front of him, and the singing pauses to make room for him. Obviously a part of the production. More going on here than what we perceive on a first time listen.

@@ChemicalReactions Did you watch the live performance from the Whisky that I gave you yesterday? If so, you should know I supplied that link because it better showed all three of the sisters while playing that song live. There are more professional videos from that performance with better sound but I really wanted you to see the performance of the youngest sister Ale (bass player) that just had turned 14. Their recording from their basement done 2017 is really worth a look (no reaction really needed). This was the first song from their latest album (that is a concept album). The album has 13 songs (individually all with different sound) telling the story. They are all really good songs but their singing sounds better on the album since this was recorded at very high altitude making it a lot harder to sing properly. Pau (the drummer) leads the singing in the first and last song on their album. Can't wait until we can share the acoustic version of the song *Hunter* with you. Their lead singer Daniela (guitarist) will melt your heart. 😍
