I'm new to Warhammer as a miniature game and do plan on buying this set. What chapter are these Space marines for? Or can i use them for any chapter? I already have some Black Templars. Awesome videos!

Heh "board game" is a very lose term for this game specifically, which is a shame because GW can make good board games (blitz bowl, fireteam etc..). If your getting this look at it purely for the models and not the "board game".

Underrated channel! Very good and informative video, same for the first part (the actual unboxing). Keep it up! A little disappointed that not all the required colors come in the box but for a starter set it is good. They want to hook you in and sell you the extra paints for the details as a plus.

OMG are you the one that bought them all up in my area? My wife found them one day and told me about it, (She didn't exactly know what a deal it was), and when I went back to ollies for them, someone had emptied the shelf.

The unfortunately disappeared near me too quickly. I did manage to get my hands on the terrain one, but the creatures one was the one I wanted, but they had already been grabbed.

I'm disappointed you didn't talk more about the weight of the token discs from the Creatures case. They're really nice and heavy, not cheap plastic like I thought they were going to be. Also completely missed the grass flipside of the tiles and the stone flipside of the folding board. The grass side of the tiles don't have their grids lined up properly, it's a bit jarring after you notice it, but I don't see many people using the grass side of the tiles anyway.

This has been going on for weeks now. They also have that Dragonlance board game for $10. Not much going on with the board game itself, but it comes with six 1" minis generic, varied, and paintable to be useful at most tables. Six figures for $10 isn't a terrible deal, I just don't know if I want to grab another due to how much other stuff there is I won't use out of it.

Yeah, Citadel whites/near-whites tend to be chunky and bad. Mini still ended up pretty good though. I think them limiting the paints given helps newer painters (even if it's unintentional). After several years of collecting and painting I have so many paints from so many different brands that when I go to paint a single Skitarii, for example, I'm pulling out so many different paints and then end up getting analysis paralysis as I don't know where I want to start or which order I want to do things rather than just "Paint robe red, paint metal silver, paint wood brown".

I remember when these came out, they were like $50. They so missed the price point for this. I like the Paizo Pawns alot more.
