Lamar Jackson has 37 total TD's compared to Josh Allen's 36 TD's(Unless you want to add in the pass he threw to himself then they would be tied). Feel free to watch the Full Video connected to this short. I make the case for Josh Allen for MVP on that video and break down the stats that compare the two. Your point that stats don't mean everything in the MVP decision is a good point!

Have we compared the strength of schedule? I know there is a large discrepancy there. Would the Bills be 11-3 if they played a healthy chiefs, Steelers, Bengals twice, Bucs, Eagles, Broncos, and Chargers? Maybe but not as likely. Ravens will have played every single AFC playoff team by year's end in addition to the NFC #2 seed (possible #1 seed).

Two biggest factors against Lamar; Henry and expectations. Nearly half of Lamars yards are off play-action. 20 % of Allens are on play-action. You can watch the impact Henry has in playaction as not only do linebackers bite hard, safeties cheat as well, which creates huge voids in the defense. James Cook doesnt provide that, backers rarely cheat against Buffalo, and if they do its on Allen. Lamar's recievers are averging 7 yards of seperation per completion. Allens recievers are averging just under 2 yards of seperation per completion. Lamar's completion percentage when his recievers have less than two yards of seperation is 38%, Allen's is 60%. The highest completion percentage Lamar has ever had in a season where his recievers have less than 2 yards of seperation is 42%, Allens lowest was 44% which was his rookie year. Since his second year Allen leads the league in completion percentage when his recievers have less than 2 yards of seperation at 59%. Those stats have nothing to do with anything excpet to showcase Allens arm talent over Lamars. Lamar is a freak of nature, and so is Allen, just in different ways. The Ravens average record prediction across the board for nfl analysts at ESPN was 14-3 and were the Frontrunner over the Chiefs to finish with the best record. They had the best odds at winning the Super bowl(which they still have an excellent chance), and they had the 2nd highest rated roster. Buffalos record prediction was 9-8, and some "experts" even predicted them to go 4-13. they were expected to finish 3rd in the division and miss the playoffs. They had the 24th rated roster in the NFL. Behind teams like the Bears, jags, and saints. True fans can recognize greatness, casual enjoyers of the game call nfl players Trash. Im just excited that any given game I watch, may have a must watch guy at the helm.

First of all -> i don't care about the mvp. I want a superbowl win, i'm also a bills fan. Here is my opinion for what it's worth. LJ deserved his first MVP, easily one of the greatest seasons of football i've ever seen. he did not deserver the second. last year there really wasn't a good option for MVP, Lamar sort of got a pity mvp last year because brock purdy and tua both melted down in the home stretch. In reality in a year with no obvious MVP it should have been a hell of a lot more competitive yet for some reason the media went all in on Jackson. The most statistically impressive QB of last year was probably josh allen. Even with his turnovers. but the bills weren't a top seed so i get why Lamar would win the MVP. This year i think if everything was equal Saquan probably should be the frontrunner. That said. It's becoming a bit of a clown shown that JA hasn't won an MVP yet (frankly it's embaressing the types of numbers he's been putting up the highest he came in mvp voting was no.2, to an aaron rogers who padded his stats all year by throwing TDs on the 1 yard line). when you look at the past 4 years he's lapped the whole league in output. putting up historic numbers in the air and on the ground. seasons of consistent production even manning and brady couldn't produce. for the past 4 years he had ended the season with a combined 40+ TDs and a min of a combined 4800 yards of offense (passing and rushing). only like 2 players in league history have one season like that, josh has done it 4 years straight. This is peak cam newton numbers, but instead of one season like this he's now going on 5 straight years (it will be 5 years assuming he doesn't get shut down by the jets and pats to end the year). He's over 35 total TDs and 4000 yards (total) with 3 games remaining to put some of the nonsense he's doing into perspective. against the rams he had 6TDs, 3 rushing, 3 passing. he did this without being sacked or intercepted (or fumbled). against the lions he finished with 4tds, 2 rushing 2 passing. he did this without being sacked or intercepted (or fumble). against the 49ers he had 3tds, no sacks, fumbles or interceptions. he has taken a team with a bunch of free agent castoffs, a couple of late rounders and one first round player (Kincade) to the no.2 offense in the league. He has no probowlers at any skill position on this team. Shakir and Cook probably will be probowlers at least once in their career. but right now, nothing. Lamar has been very good this year, but crushing the giants, a 2 win football team isn't in the same class as beating the lions on their home turf. Again, i don't really care about who wins the MVP, frankly I thought the mvp talk for JA was really out of line most of the year. It wasn't till the last 3 weeks i started to think "yeah this is an MVP season). Frankly the last thing i'd want is Josh winning a joke mvp like Lamar got last year. Personally I'd be happy with Lamar winning the MVP again this year if it gave the bills a superbowl victory. But baring some sort of karmic wheel of fate that can make that trade a reality i'll just say, JA will probably win the MVP, and Saquan probably should win it, unless JA really goes off these last 3 weeks (he won't, the bills are usually content to run the ball and eat clock when they're beating bottom feeders, not desperately pass for numbers like Lamar did last week against the hapless giants). I'd also like to note that the media hate wagon lamar and josh get is sorta unreal. And that Ravens fans gotta get that chip off their shoulder about it. at least the media voted lamar the MVP twice, even if he didn't really deserve the second one. Just take that and be happy that even if the media is unfair to lamar, they still recognize his greatness (and he's a great guy too). personally i wish the league would push Lamar like they push mahomes... atleast lamar is a good person, Mahomes is surounded by awful people which makes me wonder about him.

@Dimezprod So by your logic Joe Burrow clears Jackson, do you agree with that? Because I don't even think that. Allen's has 5 win to Lamar's 2, if it was the other way around Lamar fans would be gloating about it. You know the Ravens were a Josh Allen way from winning the Superbowl last year right? All Lamar had to do was score more than 17, Allen would've done that in his sleep, he's done it MANY many times.
@Dimezprod
@Dimezprod 23 сағат бұрын
@@oblivionpro69 So why didn’t Allen go to the Super Bowl himself? But first you need to contextualize things before slandering. Zay flowers fumbled a whole 6 points that could’ve won them the game. That’s 24 points. You randomly put playoff stats when it has nothing to do with the mvp.

@Dimezprod It's absolutely related to the MVP because giving a guy a 3rd MVP puts him in a rare category that Lamar flat out doesn't belong in based on his playoff failures, and that's just on top of the fact that Allen has a better argument atm. Flowers did fumble it but Lamar fumbled it, threw it into triple coverage, and missed more easy throws than he probably missed the whole regular season combined... that's a chokejob. The NFL posted the whole game and I watched it again, he was even worse than I remembered. Starting at the beginning of the 2nd Qtr he just started missing everything. Go watch it yourself. And you other question? Allen's defenses have given up 15PPG more in the playoffs than in the regular season, a McDermott chokejob, that's why.

as a lamar guy also bring up strength of schedule which lamar has obviously had worse and plays in a far tougher division. Also the fact that lamar has to play near perfect every game even against trashcans since their defense has been sooo atrotious this year. not saying that the bills defense is even good but the ravens are just 1.9 ppg less then the bills but the bills have a point differential thats 2nd in the league which is 49 points higher then the ravens point differential. Not only that the ravens havent been blown out the point differential in their losses this year have been -4.4 while the bills have a -10 point differential avg in losses(I do understand there is less data so its more skewed ). Lamar keeps games competetive no matter and has been un believeably consistent even in losses but allen has had a few games where he just couldnt get things going like in the head to head and against the texans. Also Lamar has the bigger chances to prove himself in the next 2 games especially if he can pull out convincing wins even if allen blows out the jets and pats my mvp vote would remain with Action Jackson.

Jackson lost to the Chiefs and the Eagles who are two playoff teams. Plus he lost to the Raiders and Browns who both stink and dropped one, so far, to the Steelers. First off, great job breaking down and dissecting the current MVP race. However…………..I do feel that context should be used on both sides not just one. 1. Yes, D. Henry did go off that game and would’ve been the MVP based on his performance. But, we’re comparing Lamar and Josh and head to head the more “pure” QB could score a single TD while the “RB” scores 2 passing. How does that not factor in. 2. You stated that Lamar has tougher games than Lamar down the stretch. Well, do we consider the level of difficulty in schedule? Cause if we’re using College references then would the AFC North be considered the SEC while AFC East is considered Mountain Conference? Yes, you don’t choose the teams you play but you also shouldn’t overhype the more dominant team for winning. The same way everyone is passing off Lamar’s recent win over the Giants. Josh has the benefit of play trash teams 6x throughout the course of this season where Lamar is legit having to compete against multiple above 500 teams. Shit even Burrows numbers are comparable to Josh’s and his team sucks right now. Who’s Josh dominating, a CTE ridden Tua, a team in NE that can’t find a win to save their life and a very end of the road looking A. Rod that is busy blaming everyone else on talk shows than show up and take accountability. Josh has been playing great these past couple games but Lamar has been playing great all season. We’re looking at a sample size versus a total body of work.

Well just to let u know the mvp is not based off of the last few weeks but the entire 17 week season and lamar has played better football than josh. But to your point of the Bill's beating the chiefs well lamar beat the Bill's. And since u didnt watch the game let me just let u in on something henry would not have been the mvp of the game and he is not the reason they won. As a matter of fact henry had 20 something runs and was getting stopped and just happened to break the 80yrd run AT THE END OF THE GAME and up until that point YES IT WAS LAMAR WHO JUST OUT PLAYED JOSH and I can tell you didnt watch the game or u would have known the game was over before henry broke it for that long run which was pretty much all henry did. He was not getting chunk plays or anything. That game was won on lamars arm. So that's a stat that's very misleading. In fact that's how it has been this entire season, henry not doing shit until the 4th qtr where he breaks one for 60 or more yrds but up until that point lamar is wheeling and dealing and then everyone see henry had 100yrds and saying that's why they won and that couldnt be further from the truth. So get your facts right and you said stats are misleading and then proceed to use a very misleading stat to support your claim that its Allen when we all know what it is. Lamar has always been the best QB, pat has always had the best coached team not the best QB and josh has always been left out regardless of how much the media try's to put him as the 2nd best QB when he maybe 3rd behind pat cus lj8 is the best QB in the league but josh has nothing while Pat's WELL COACHED TEAM is winning rings AND LJ8 IS WINNING MVPS it leaves josh with nothing and "THEY" REALLY want josh to have something at this point when the truth is yea lj8 out played him when they played and if u not using that then u cant use the last 2 weeks to give anything to josh because the award is based on the ENTIRE SEASON AND JOSH HASNT BEEN PLAYING GREAT ALL SEASON YET LAMAR HAS AND HIS DEFENSE HAS LET THEM DOWN AND AT TIMES THIS SEASON JOSH HAS LET HIS TEAM DOWN. THE MVP IS LAMARS BASED ON THE SEASON. ITS NOT THE MVP OF THE LAST 3 WEEKS AND MAYBE U SHOULD WRITE THE NFL A LETTER TO SEE IF THE COULD START GIVING OUT 3 WEEK MVPS. BUT AS OF NOW ITS BASED ON THE SEASON AND I WATCH EVERY SINGLE GAME. ITS LAMAR. AND WASHINGTON IS MY TEAM NOT THE RAVENS
