He's just running clean-up duty for the SC highlights the morning after the game. ESPN showed nothing but Flagg highlights from the first half, then cut straight to the last 3 Duke plays at the end of the game. No mention of how KY came back, hit free throws and locked down on defense at the end. If you just watched the highlights, you'd think Duke won the game. The only credit they gave KY was, "great game down the stretch." So, whether Jay Will likes it or not, the bias was an embarrassment to ESPN. They made it painfully obvious that as a network, they wanted to see KY fail after Cal left, and that just isn't the case. All their over-paid analysts were wrong about Pope and his crew of "no-name" guys. These players have names, might wanna learn them, Jay.

They were expecting Duke to win, especially with them up 9 at the half. Likely had most of the highlight package put together by the time the second half started and then got caught with their pants down when UK came back and won. On top of that, J Will is butthurt cause he's a dukie.

Brother as a retired CEO of power companies and being trained in what to say and when to say it, i say you nailed it with balance and truth. When one speaks the truth in this style it says more than all of the cuss and fuss so many others do. DSPN needs a rebalance in their staff and mission statement. They do good on availability of games but they have degraded on balance and fairness to the sports fans of America. It's become obvious to college basketball fans the "one and done" does not win titles anymore in the era of NIL and the transfer portal, DSPN needs to reflect the same by making changes in their staff.

Wouldn’t the better sell for the sport be the story of a blue blood that gets a new coach (who is also a former player) rebuilds the entire roster and starts the season 3-0 with a win over a talented Duke squad. Seems like thats better than how a one-and-done played in a loss. Maybe it’s just me..

Imagine winning a ballgame against a team ranked 6th with the #1 NBA draft pick on their team and the only news you see or read about is the #1 NBA draft pick that lost the game for the #6 ranked team in the nation. If BBN’s pissed, that’s why, our boys came out in the second with winning on their minds and only let Duke score 26 points to UK’s 40. But there’s no mention of that, or how Otega, Andrew Carr, and Butler cleaned the end of that game up, or how Coach Pope outcoached the #6 ranked team in the countries coach. What a joke these announcers are. Duke was supposed to win by 50 with Pooper so the narrative was written before the game ever started so that’s what they stuck to and when it didn’t go their way this is how they reacted, poorly, they didn’t have the lines to say in case UK won bc UK wasn’t supposed to win with a brand new head coach and a brand new team. That’s the story and they look like shit for not telling it.

We wanted rid of Cal for exactly what Jay said, except we could care less who is branded or marketed. Jay, you missed the boat and our tradition. Jay, we no longer have Cal, we are into our Wildcat BBN tradition, not the NBA. We don't even care about pro prospect ideas. Cooper is awesome, I wish him well. He is really good, God bless him.

Espn gave no credit to Kentucky after the game and was just talking about Flagg and he didn’t go into anything about Kentucky’s comeback and halftime adjustments/improvements and there was no story talked about the game after the ending at all in my opinion

Not blaming Jay for the post game show it just seemed ESPN either lacked the ability to get it all changed before the end of the game or lacked the awareness that most people were going to notice. He is right on the marketing side but it’s just another example of how national media outlets are only after the dumbest demographics out there. My advice, watch as little of ESPN, FOX, CNN as possible and you will be a pretty smart individual.

We werent mad or angry at J-will, he did give the props to UK as soon as they cut to him because they did ask him about flagg before anything kentucky. BUT the video was a bit weird, because why even try to explain ESPN pushing over the top marketing when it usually backfires? Not because of Flagg's talent but the perception on Flagg will change because of how much they push him in your face.
