Buy the tarp grommet kit from Harbor Freight with the installation tool for like $4.49 and then buy bulk packs of either terry towels or micro fiber towels and make your own bait/hand towels for cheap!

I've always found great success pairing the power eggs with a bit of night crawler/red worm. helps keep the bait suspended like a marshmallow, but the power eggs are much more tough than a marshmallow. Great for a Carolina or knocker rig.

I'm a beginner and have been trying to fish for 2 years now. I've had time to go fishing about 5 times and have never caught anything. I'm starting to lose hope.
@HolyMolyOutdoors17 күн бұрын
Fishing isn’t all about catching but when you can be confident in what you are using and making sure the water you are fishing has been stocked you should have some success just have to keep at it. Best of luck!

@@HolyMolyOutdoors The journey is not enough when you don't have any results to show for it. Even the tiniest catch you aren't even allowed to keep restores morale. I'm a few weeks late and I fear they fishing hoards picked the rivers clean.

Thanks for the excellent video. It's clear and informative. Could you tell me what size Owner Mosquito hook you would use with 6mm beads? Also, for such small beads, would you still use the bobber stop/micro sequin rigging, or would it overwhelm the bead?
@HolyMolyOutdoors17 күн бұрын
Thank you for watching and the question. For A 6mm bead I’d be running a size 4 in most cases. Could drop to a six too but not sure if targeting larger steelhead or just trout. I would run a mini sequin to see how it looks

That is a bait button dispenser. It holds rubber discs that allow you to put on the hook and keep you baits and rigs on with the barbless regulations we have. They work great with live bait too

I have always used 30lb test because it is much easier for me to work with. Is there any disadvantage to using it for salmon fishing? Too big? Too visible?
@HolyMolyOutdoors17 күн бұрын
30lb isn’t necessarily a bad thing as the fish are getting triggered by an aggression strike. In clear water it might be too visible yes

I just bought the larger one of these that holds 16 jars. Plan to put everything i need for a trout fishing trip to the lake. Got the idea from you for this because there is some hiking involved to get to the spot, and I didnt want to have to carry a larger tackle bag. Dont forget to add a "rag" to the kit. Powerbait is messy....but works.
