Wonderful video ! This dog breed is so misunderstood! ❤My neighbor has one. The dog is well trained and quite friendly under certain circumstances. That's how its supposed to be. He a very good boy.

As a person who is dealing with some medical issues I would love ti have a guard dog. I also know that I don’t have what it takes health wise to have a Cane Corso, Any other breed suggestions or resources. Also, Hi Bruce, I love you buddy and your precious parents. I am so thankful for your healing touch even via video. It is one of my dreams to meet you some day and be able to thank you with a pet. If you are reading this and thinking what the ??. I am a widow and was having a hard time carrying on, God used Bruce to reach right through KZbin and I can’t explain it. Just me strength and comfort. I am doing so much better now. I even smile and laugh again. It will be 4 years tomorrow. It is not a coincidence I am seeing this video. Blessings to the Corey family and I hope you have some suggestions

I also have Health issues but most of the time I can take great care of a dose with some energy so I just got my first working line german sheperd, it’s been a week and he already let me know if he wants more water, waits for me to wake up and sleep all night, is learning focus/sit/lay down and get 80% of the time…. And on top of that he saw my reflection like there was someone else outside the apartment and he changed his body language and went to the glass door look outside. I’m so impressed already, so much potential and easy to train. If you devote time for the dog I would recommend, but you need to enjoy training them, it’s how you’ll bond and get closer, and as a result they will be more protective.

Getting a pit or mix is probably sounding strange to you but they are incredible couch potatoes and protectors at the same time time when trained and socialized Praying you are getting well and get a dog you love

Nobody with a grain of sense would try to get in a house with two cane corsos. I'd love to have one, but I'm too old. About thirty years ago I had a buff colored cocker spaniel (go ahead, laugh) with a real attitude. I lived in a large house, alone, and went out at twilight to do yard work. One night Buffie and I were outside watering when a strange truck and two equally strange men pulled into my drive. Buffie ran to their door and made it clear that she was smaller but could still give a good bite. The guys offered to work on my drive while Buff let them know she'd tear them apart. They drove away and I kissed her. I had to put a muzzle on her to go to the vet. Serious attitude problem.

I had 2 pit bulls and an Akita. My wife never felt threatened. Unfortunately we recently lost our 2 pits. Our Akita is 10. We will need a new dog for my wife when I am not around and I am seriously thinking of a cane corso

Love your vids~!...... Our rescue is a cross of cane corso standard poodle .. he is eight months old now and I am amazed at his instincts when a non known person comes to the house and also while I'm out and about with him.. HE is a big love but also very aware all the time of the surroundings... Blessed.

STANDARD POODLE CAN BE FIERCE PROTECTORS, CROSS THEM WITH A CORSO AND YOU WILL HAVE A VERY GOOD GUARDIAN

I love the Breed I have 4 of them Before the Cane Corso I had 4 Boerboels and this breed was difficult to Control as they are cold blooded killers and all 4 of mine were 195 lbs to 205 lbs. The Boerboel does well with its Family but wants to kill everyone else and at 200 lbs very difficult to Control. I live on a large parcel of land in the middle of nowhere so dogs are a must. One of my Boerboels killed a Mountain lion and dragged it up to my front door . I like the Cane Corso much better very smart trainable and good natured My Boerboels were imports from 2 of the best Kennels in South Africa well bred just bent on killing

Aot of that is due to their breeding and also if they were not socialized as pups. Plenty of friendly Boerboels that are not like that. For where you live like you said......that was needed.

@@jasoncorey I imported the Boerboels from Klein Sanfontaine Kennels from South Africa and Spitsvuur Kennels from South Africa two of the Best Kennels in South Africa but yah we were remote so prob not enough socialization but like you, I think the Cane Corso is a perfect breed

A cane corso just killed 6 sheeps in Norway. It's on "death row", but there are people who are trying to save him. So it's up to the court now. Hopefully people understand how difficult it is to own these powerful breeds. That being said, there have been plenty of huskies doing the same thing, but they don't end up in the newspapers for some reason

Still my most favourite channel on KZbin (between you and Kara). Ever since I started watching before I got my corso in 2020. He since passed away, far too soon, on July 2nd. I miss him so freaking much but watching videos like these that remind me of him truly heal me in way I couldve never anticipated. But also makes me miss him that much more. 😢

@@jasoncorey absolutely but it's hard to find a good Corso breeder in Ontario and my passport has expired. I've considered other guardian breeds as well but.. don't know what the right choice is yet so I'm holding off until I do. 😊 and thank you.. this is so true.

I train dogs. I've had English Labradors trained to protect which many dumb asses has taken lightly only to be put in their place. Now i have Belgian Malinois. Any dog will show protection mode IF its loyal to its owner.

I didn't take my Corso out of the car when I pumped gas, but I had the windows all the way down. I took him with me every time I wasn't going to have to leave the car for more than 5 minutes.

Having owned and trained Mals and Dutchies for personal protection for 18 years I agree, I would never own or train a Cane Corso for personal protection. Too much dog, too much downside legally. The only two people I know who did have Cane Corsos trained in Personal Protection both lost their dogs to court ordered euthanization and paid out mid 6 figure sums in the bite lawsuits… Ps Many trained Personal Protection Dogs have subdued an attacker despite having taken one or even multiple GSW.

Dogs can work as deterrents. Ultimately, even they would not stop someone intent on doing harm for various reasons. Having your dog out at a gas station is excessive and unnecessary to me. As a man, I’m pumping gas for my wife. It wouldn’t be a situation where she’d have to do that very often. And having them out is effort to get them, then you gotta get them back in and secured to continue the drive. Not trying to rain on the parade, just thinking realistically. I’m thinking of the person on the other side of the pump, the attendants who night come out of the store and walk around to cleanup.

we have a great dane 4years and 87kgrs we have a station wagon ....it our 9st great dane they are adorable with babys and children but take care if you are a burgler ......great dane are a crossing between Cane Corso and greyhound to hunt bears so that they were able to run fast and a reason their ears were cut was to avoid the bear to take them...But people are affraid of big dogs it and error it's a question of education ....like with childen

I live in the dictatorship of New Jersey and there is not any place I would be allowed to bring my dog except Home Depot Tractor Supply. Even some home depots depending on what city you're in won't let you. Other than that, no dogʻs allowed

Ok….listen… My breed’s bigger than the cane… Less bite prone but big and dominant… Yes it does deter a threat and it does help for protection of course in certain situations But there are so much to owning a large powerful breed… Protection dogs will not be good unless first and for most you have a good relationship with the dog and the dog is well behaved and treated well Then, there’s getting them world exposure so they don’t over protect… It is a huge responsibility to own a big and powerful dog these big babies are not for the average household Canes do have a bite history and they have been linked to biting strangers let’s make sure ppl who want the dog have the time and space along with training and the core…Respect and love of the breed I respect my dog…not only love and care…totally awe of her breed and her character I would not reckoned these breeds to the average person who just wants a part time dog… My girl is full time, all the time or there will be issues Let’s make sure we tell the public what it takes to own and train such a dog

Always have the dog by your side should you go and answer the door, the person or persons there will think twice about barging into your house. Cane Corso's would be my choice but being 69 I don't think that I could handle one properly, my next choice would be either a GSD or a Doberman.

If you do all the foundations of training and do it to the fullest while they’re a puppy you might be okay. Ultimately it depends on your overall fitness and things. Either way, if you get another dog I hope you enjoy the pup regardless of the breed! :)
