Yeah, you can’t do both well. However a lot of stocks have caught up (ie manners LRH, and several others like it) , lightweight carbon, full adjust etc, short arca in front of mag well and quick on the ball mount tripod trigger sticks (because the grass is up my armpits!). And why not a springer bipod when you need. Target shooting is knowing I can hit 500m the first shot and repeat it once more and prone with bipod is good enough then even with a light rifle. Easy to sling 4-5kg setup on your shoulder and quick on the trigger stick tripod as you engage. 6arc, load 55gr for 223-like and 90+ gr for 308-like ballistic and enough energy within 300m. Good for gongs to 600m. Pretty happy with that.

HEARING voting comment I've always had a similar view! However, this time around. #1 fishing shooters party. I'm in NSW. Please friends, keep the rallies civilized... don't give them any greater reason or ammo (pun intented) to push it further. We are responsible and law-abiding citizens. The 1996 firearms act ensures so. We just need to have a collective voice to remind the public, police and politicians of this. I personally think the majority of the police force already agree.

This is a two-year-old video, so I doubt anyone still follows it. If you would have told me some guy was shooting a 30-30 at 675 yds much less 1160 yds I honestly would have laugh in your face. I don't know if the video is real or fake, but if this is real, I am absolutely amazed to see this guy hitting anything that far out with a 30-30.

That is really wild! I had no idea that's how it worked! I also thought a rifle round with a hole in the end would cause it to slow down and tumble rather than spin true. Very interesting!

Great video. I struggle with consumerism crossing between wants and needs and trying to cover hunting and plinking target together and save on buying multiple platforms. It would be great to obtain a feature packed scope plus customise the reticle rather than stuck with factory and I guess proprietary reticle. I need to learn what thickness of reticle line or floating centre dot is still visible and useable at FFP 5x or 6x and not too thick at 20-30x. Wishful thinking I imagine.

Over 3.9 million registered guns in Australia. No major incidents since 1996. Registered guns aren't the problem. 30-year stat to prove it. Limiting the number of Firearms per individual only encourages and somewhat supports unethical hunting through wrong caliber selection. Fishing for votes with the illusion of firearm reforms in the name of "safety to the public". Probably shouldn't point this out. However, an individual only needs 1 firearm to cause injury or deaths! So, 1 or 20 in the safe.... What's the difference 🤔

It doesn't seem like there is much recoil from that 300 RUM, which usually kicks like a mule for me, especially for what looks like such a light weight platform. Can you enlighten me on your build? My favorite round!!!! 300rum!!!! I just wish they made the stock Remington 700 with enough room from the factory for the case and heavy heads. Sad, mine is so accurate but single feed.
