This method assumes the owner can see well close up. Also, my dog struggles so hard I'm afraid he'll injure himself. And, yes, I did start clipping his nails as a tiny puppy. It didn't help.

You are an artist, my dear Schnauzer whisperer! I enjoyed learning from your video, as I have a Schnauzer who had part of his ear cut off by a groomer, and surgery to reattach. He freaks out at the groomer's, so I've been doing it myself. One thing I'd like you to know about your videos is that the true love and caring you show the dogs means everything. There are other grooming videos I watched before I found yours, where the groomers seem like robots, with no love for the pets. I'm not criticizing them; I just prefer seeing true affection for the pets from the groomers as I believe the dogs know it and feel safe when they're with a caring person. Thank you for the videos.❤

My dog,Teddy, is in the habit. After I brush him, I then check his nails. He will lift his paw into my hand on his own. I then take my time and trim them. With each nail, I touch and massage his paws before cutting. I sometimes will only do one complete paw. Then let Teddy rest or play. He will lift his paw when he sees me get the clippers. It's so precious.

I have a Chinese shar pei 8 1/2 months old. Absolutely HATES getting her nails trimmed. It is BRUTAL. I’ve tried to get her used to us touching her paws since she was 3 months and she never adapted. She has always loathed us coming anywhere near her feet. Mainly her front paws. The rear not so bad. However, I really have to cut them. Do you recommend the hammock to hang her up and try it that way? Also it looks like the pink in her nails is literally to the tips of her nails. I can’t tell if that’s her quick or just the color of her nails. Thanks for any advice! I got the quiet dremel to try.

A day after watching this I went and bought the de-shedding rake for my super thick coated black lab. I can't tell you how many bags of hair we managed to fill. Honestly, the change in my lab was so sudden- he's stopped scratching and has shed way less in the past two days. I gave him another little rake today just to see if there's any improvement since the major deshedding and I only filled a tiny plastic bag. This is great news for everybody concerned especially since it’s summer down here in South Africa

Wow! You are so gentle. I just unfollowed and blocked a few channels because these groomers took that hemastat and yanked out the ear hair and these dogs were in pain. They screamed in pain and the groomers justified it by saying “it doesn’t hurt”, they are just scared. It’s a pleasure to watch you be so gentle with this dog. I hope those groomers hurting dogs get their licenses taken away and someone reports them. There is no reason to hurt an animal who is more vulnerable than a human cuz they can’t speak. Well done.
