I just ordered some of their Arhuaco columbian cacao (supposed to have sour cherry and coffee notes) and seems to be a good heart opener; very excited to try a high quality cacao. I didn't realize Cacao can have mold (just like cheap coffee) & heavy metals so I like that this product is tested and seems most direct/least processed. If I remember I'll comment on how I liked it but thank you for the recommendation!

I've been buying from this brand for years and personally talked to the founder Makenzie and she is so transparent about the farms the cacao is grown, and the testing. You are in good hands! My favorite is the Chuncho from Peru :)

Wow, you are spot on. I broke my 4th toe and went immediately to my podiatrist. He x-rayed and numbed and pulled it out and then put back into place. 😮. He gave me a walking boot. It’s amazing how many people think it’s over kill, but as this girl remarks, your toes affect your whole motion of walking. Your hips take a beating. The Dr. suggested the Even Up to strap onto my shoe. I’m 3 days into my 6week healing😮and I don’t care what people say, you can’t take a broken toe lightly. I want to be able to be as active as I was before.

You have helped me so much! I broke my big toe in two places five weeks ago and it's been bad! I've broke pink in errors before but nothing like the big toe. Thanks for making me realize I'm not a big baby about this!
@CoachSofia25 күн бұрын
Omgosh be careful! You are definitely not being a big baby. I broke my arm and it was much easier than dealing with my small middle toe. It literally made me unable to walk for 5 weeks and it was so much worse and more challenging to heal. People understand how even a tiny toe can immobilize your whole foot. Wishing you a safe and smooth recovery 🙏

Is it possible for the PF muscle to irritate the sciatic nerve (and have symptoms down the leg) but not cause pain in the glutes or back?
@CoachSofiaАй бұрын
Yes, the piriformis muscle can irritate the sciatic nerve when it spasms a lot and can be felt down but usually it wouldn't radiate all the way to the ankle. If that's the case all the time, it could be related to disc related compression instead. If you notice a reduction in sciatic irritation when the piriformis is more relaxed, this is also a good indication it's Piriformis induced.

Hi I thought you mentioned something about identifying which muscle is weak and possibly causing your pain. Was trying to find this information thanks
@CoachSofiaАй бұрын
Thanks for your question, I cover this in my program Piriformis Control. In the first module, I'll take you step by step through a few simple assessments to identify the weak muscles (underactive) and also the overactive tight ones. This helps to get to the root imbalances causing the pain. The plans to correct these weaknesses & imbalances are included. The link to sign up is here: www.coachsofiafitness.com/piriformis-control

I do have a problem standing on my knees. (I’ve got 2 new knees) They hurt when I try to do it. I can’t see how else I could do these stretches. I can do some of them in my bed.
@CoachSofiaАй бұрын
Hi there, most of these stretches are not on your knees though. Only the first one. If you can't get on the floor at all, you can do them on your bed. I have shared many standing stretches on my channel as well. Just research 'standing ' in my video search and you'll see all the standing routines. I hope this helps.

Would love to see some post operative stretches for L-3-5 fusion. Love your stuff! God bless you!
@CoachSofiaАй бұрын
Thank you! I actually would advise you focus on deep core strengthening exercises to increase stability and support your spine in that case. I'd just do the stretches in the video to help with hip releases. Core stabilization helped me a lot when I had a disc herniation more than spinal-focused stretches. I have many videos here and a beginner program as well here www.coachsofiafitness.com/core

@CoachSofiaАй бұрын
You're welcome! You can do the stretches either after these exercises or on a separate day. Just don't do them before exercising so you don't lengthen the muscles.

Going through this pain while working out in gym. Exercises especially RDLs, Lunges and sometimes heavy deadlifts and squats, cause a sharp pain deep somewhere between my right glute and hamstring. 😞
@CoachSofiaАй бұрын
Yes it'd such a frustrating pain. I've been there and experienced the same at the gym. I would suggest you start with some glute med activations with the band. This was always helpful for me on leg days (and it still is). I would also see at which point it starts to hurt and adjust your sets, reps, or the exercises to stay below that pain threshold. Id also do assisted squats using a box or bench to help reduce pressure on the lumbar spine. Just small adjustments to help you workout while reducing the piriformis sensitivity to the pain. It gets better but it IS annoying. Hope this helps.

Love the recipe; make my own soups as I don't want chemicals and too much salt. I will try your recipe as I have hip pain that doesn't want to go away. Did the cutting board get sanitized after you cut the chicken before cutting up the broccoli?

So true! While the soup was cooking I washed the board well and dried it...this is important especially for wooden boards because the little chicken particles get stuck in the little cracks... but I will add it in the description just in case 😊
