Hello, I think that is a reason that they provided for Invalidation. It doesn't mean that you are banned from giving Duolingo again. If that would have been the case, you would've gotten another notification stating that you won't be eligible to give Duolingo again. For the next time, my first suggestion to you would be use a working laptop. This will prevent you from falling into same trap again. You can borrow it from someone as it is just a matter of couple of hours for the test. If nothing works out, you can make the use of external keyboard and mouse, however, you need to make sure that you don't switch between the laptop's keyboard/Mouse and external keyboard/Mouse. Hello, Practice test score cannot be corelated to score on certified test. Practice tests are just meant to give students feel about how the actual test will be and what should they expect. Hello, I think not looking at the keyboard cannot be the only reason why they give the disqualification for looking away from screen. You need to make sure that your eyes should not go off screen for any section. While typing you can definitely look atbthe keyboard and type. But looking at the keyboard throughout your writing task can be suspicious. So I normally recommend students to keep checking the screen in the middle while you type, rather than typing the complete answer and then looking at screen. Try to practice it and let me know if you face any problem.

From the response, it feels that you looked away from screen for multiple times. It is always recommended to keep your eyes on screen for entire duration of test. The reason why they are saying you might be reading the response is the same because when you look away from screen multiple times, they suspect that you have a response written somewhere and you are reading it while looking away from screen. The next time you decide to give test, make sure that your eyes should be on screen not on camera, not anywhere else. Hope this helps.
