It is interesting one thing: SADF men were armed with FN FAL that basically fires semi auto, are very accurate, but with less firepower than assault rifles. So SADF men were actually outgunned and outnumbered . and SWAPO men and women were after all experienced infanty. I wonder what kind of training had SADF men received because they went into a mission that today the most of infantry officers will think against all odds

Ironically the same thing that happened to Rhodesia all those years ago is now creeping up on the US and Britain. At least we fought with pride.

Of course the video has a slanted view. Holy Moly, Rhodesia had almost everything, to be desired ,climate ,soil, . Despite feeling that they were occupied, the black population has a hell of a better life in Rhodesia than they had in Zimbabwe. Tropical countries represent a major part of the third world. For centuries, the population have no great incentive to work or inovate. Fact This latergy is their down fall, and leaves an open door for others to acquire their recourses. No doubt, they benifited from The Rhodesia with infrastructure and work. But subsequent events showed that they valued neither. China in Africa will suffer the same fate in decades ahead, and the wheel goes around. Ian Smith was an amazing man . Spoke the truth but nobody listened

*part of the black population. A significant amount of them wanted to the country to stay the way it was, especially those in the urban and suburban areas. The communists were able to trick the rural (poorer blacks) into thinking they would end up like the other blacks. Its just classic leftism
