Really hope you answer! How do you split songs if there’s different splits on the writing side and master side? There’s no option to split master shares. Any help would be much appreciated!

Thx for the tip. Is there also a way to do this but to keep each track in midi? Let's say you have the original midi track and now you just want to use how it's written but you wanna assign different sample from your DAW to each of the drum. Meaning you use the original program (drum plug-in) to write the parts but then you use the DAW drum samples for the actual sounds (instead of just mixing sounds that the plug-in created)..? Thanks a lot.

I have one of these and a Behringer umc1820, both with ADAT Behringer ada8200 giving me 32 preamps total. I’ve tested noise, preamp gain, latency. The Behringer is dollar for dollar the better value. Other than a few tiny bells and whistles the scarlett has over it, I’d still pick the UMC 1820 over it any day. Btw to mac owners that want to add inputs but don’t want to jump into the pro audio realm of price to do so, you can buy as many units as you want and keep adding them using usb. A Mac will create aggregate devices for you so it pairs the clocks of all of your interfaces to your Mac’s interface. Some people say that the clocks aren’t as good through your Mac vs having a good dedicated word clock, but let’s face it. If I can make Money mixing and mastering with this and the outcome be unrecognizable from higher end gear, you can use these for whatever you want. The preamps aren’t colored. They are transparent as well as the converters. Which is great! Because I can’t afford 10 units of real 1173 preamps and burl converters. So for now these units are my lifeblood. Nobody including the mastering engineers I’ve worked with have ever said “that master you did would sound better if you stopped using that cheap interface” Same goes for microphones. I’ve used $15 Bluetooth clip on mics for pro production that people didn’t know weren’t my super expensive condenser mics. Learn how to use it will, make sure there’s no extra noise and go make music instead of reading about gear you have, want, or had. Gear doesn’t write songs. Songs don’t build gear. Therefor owning gear won’t help you write songs. They can help you feel creative. But won’t write you a good song.

Hell no. Behringer is garbage. I could never ever figure out the dumb ass mix knob. Turned all the way to the left would only hear half nice and daw audio, turned all the way to the right i would hear the other half of the mics. In the middle both but still not perfect. Seriously irritating!!! Nothing in the mix control or DAW. Could never figure that piece of junk out.

Maybe its your guitar or other system. This pedal sounds great .I have been playing for almost 30 years and i use this pedal connected directly to audio interface for recording sometimes and add some rev and eq when needed. I also have amplitude 4 and a real twin I. bet you can't tell the if itsn a real tube or not when recorded. Most of my musician friends can't (who actually play real tubes ) Its an amp modeller, not a overdrive/ distortion pedal.youre not supposed to connect it to a fractal nor another amp modeller. Checkout my short i used it there with a little rev , connect to an audio interface directly to a reaper Daw with a touch of no name free vst classoc reverb ,out to samson monitor and capture the vid and sound with a cheap android phone. And a cheap(by your standard )Mexican strat with alnico V stock pup.

These are trash... in fact I don't think the real 1176 is very good either. Notice how basically every change is the input and output... the attack and release make no noticeable difference... even the ratio doesn't make a noticeable difference. What kind of "limiting" is that supposed to be? What kind of peak catching, limiting compressor makes you PUSH gain into it just to tame peaks??? Oh, this piece of shit. People used to use this thing because they had to... anyone STILL claiming it does something special would literally fall for anything.

Putting together a purpose-built music machine is what I would always recommend over buying a stock computer, regardless of whether it's a Windows or Mac device. It's so much better and gratifying to know that your computer is designed specifically for what you know it's supposed to handle rather than hoping run of the mill stock specs will handle the job you need.

Can I recommend that people bot blindly follow the advice to buy fewer, cheaper pedals. I have around15 pedals, ranging in price from 25 to about 75 quid. Anything towards the top end of that price range is second hand from Ebay, I collect EHX but I rarely buy them new. Some of the cheap pedals are amazing, some of the expensive pedals are just as good second hand, that's why they're expensive new, AND several cheap pedals combined can make some crazy cool sounds. Some advice is so common, like buying expensive or not buying at all until you can play really well without a pedal, and it ruins the fun. I absolutely love having the variety of 15 pedals and the way I play has been changed by owning pedals in a way that I personally think made me a better player in a few weeks than years of clean tone practising blues scales. Get it.

@@ZachWirchak awesome to hear! Yeah my eq pretty much stay put except for the bass cut I move when mixing vs mastering. I experiment with settings in compressors often so I usually find what I like and write it down for recalls. I need to rewire anyway to accommodate a larger rack and incoming line interfaces. One day I’ll buy a patch bay but there are too many inexpensive and awesome outboard pieces to buy right now. Preordered the Behringer 369 which is a clone of the neve 33609. I’m excited to see if they all jive together.
