Great video. Mine are coming tomorrow, can't wait to enjoy this tank. The thing I really like about Audeze is that they sell replacement parts, for good prices even. Something that expensive brands should improve upon *cough* Focal *cough*

I couldn't agree more! Also, you're gonna love them. The detail is AMAZING.

I can't recommend the dekoni hybrid pads enough for the lcd x. The felt face and sheep skin outer parts are much more comfortable than the stock pads. Also shorten tge head strap if it's touching the metal headband.

A quick advice to beginners, DON’T EQ them straight out of the box. Let your brain adapt to the sound first and then decide… Tried the Sonarworks calibration and to my ears the excessive mids and highs it added sounds awful and fatigue inducing. All the well produced songs I listened sounded way too harsh… I think by default they sound just the way they should, warm, not ear-piercing harsh with nice but not overpowering bass.

i just try with sonarworks , on low end just a little bit difference, so i think just to use them without any eq

@@DIPSTAGE I love sonarworks but it doesnt work well with these headphones. Realphones do a much better job for eq and this pair. (I have both software)

I finally caved in and ordered a pair few days ago. I'm really hoping these are gonna be my endgame cans.

So did you get them, how are they?

@@oakie007 Yes. Very very good. It literally ended my game. Haven't bought anything headphone related since.

@@guybuddy1 thanks so much for replying, I'll be buying a pair tomorrow...did you ever get a balanced cable or use the stock cable.
@guybuddy1Ай бұрын
@@oakie007 The cable included is good quality and is more than good enough. Although if you don't have a 1/4 inch output on your amp/interface, you might want to consider getting a cable with a 3.5mm plug(using a 1/4inch to 3.5mm adapter is not a good idea).

Do you need Sonarworks or does it work well without it?

I do not use Sonarworks. It took me a little bit of time to get used to mixing on them, but now I can't imagine my life without them!

are the x's better than the mm-500 for mixing edm?
@ZachWirchak7 ай бұрын
I've personally never have had the chance to listen to the MM-500's. But I can say the LCD-X's have amazing detail and solid low end. So I assume the MM-500's would be as good, or even better overall. More expensive, but possibly worth it?
@mauriziomauricone3 ай бұрын
I own both (2021 version) and the X is more fun with more bass extension, but the MM500 has cleaner bass and is more precise and faster. It has the 3K bump which the X doesn’t have. Soundstage of the X is wider but not by that much. I use both for mixing and mastering and the MM translates better but it sounds a bit boring, the X is more fun to listen pre-recorded music to.

🤣🤣🤣 Yep, also GREAT for neck pain and headaches due to their god awful headband and heavy as F.... weight. Not to mention I enjoyed the "lesser" LCD2C a lot more than these overrated pieces of garbage!

Agree 💯! Srsly my head was hurt in audeze lcd2/x they are awful on terms of comfort. Max i could use them was 30 min up to 1 h... I sold them.

@@Zakuman87I own the X and have zero problems wearing the weight on my (smallish) head and neck long periods of time. It’s even more comfortable than the MM500 despite of the 100 gram weight difference. The X is for real men LOL.
