To everyone asking how to upload the template on Canva, this is how: Go to the "projects" tab, and the top right corner tap on the 3 dots menu. From there the option to upload will appear.

When you use self-seal laminate, what do you do with the back side of the bookmark that isn’t laminated? Should I be doing the same process for the back side? Thanks :)
@SandraEide20 күн бұрын
Hi! Thanks so much for watching. You can absolutely laminate the backside as well for added protection. I didn't because this example is just a one sided bookmark, but if I was printing double sided, than I would also laminate the back too. (:

What brand of 110 lb cardstock did you use and/or do you know the gsm? I typically use 100 lb accent opaque. It runs at at 271 gsm. But some 110 lb cardstocks are closer to 200 gsm. I'm trying to figure out if it will work in your Epson ET 8500. I want to use your link if I can. You've been very helpful.

Hi! Thanks so much for watching. The 110 cardstock from the video is linked in the description and it is 200 gsm. However if you want a thicker paper, I love Red River Paper Aurora White 300, that’s a 300 gram paper and prints lovely in the Epson ET 8500. **edited because I replied with my personal account

Thanks for the tutorial! Just wanted to know the settings you use for accurate colours in Photoshop-can never get it spot on. I have an Epson 8550.
@SandraEideАй бұрын
Hi, thanks for watching. For printing at home using Photoshop I always use RGB mode and I play with the levels or color balance if I need to adjust anything or if I notice it's not close enough when I print. I noticed that paper type makes the biggest difference in how accurate or clear the colors end up printing. The three paper brands that I find print the most accurate for me is Koala Papers, Epson Papers, and Red River Paper, however each of them have a slightly different white to them so that also changes the colors slightly. It just depends what you need to print because the paper types/weights vary too. Let me know if you still have questions and I'll be happy to try and help. (:

I would say these are more of a warm bright white, not yellow but not a cool white, however leaning more towards Ivory/yellow warmth than the slightly bluer whites.

Thank you for this review! Is it possible to write with a fountain pen on top of the inked paper without smudging the printed ink? I want to create my own journaling pages and I wonder if there are problems when writing on the paper because of the dye ink epson uses. 🤔

Thanks so much for watching, as far as these specific Epson papers they are fine so far to write on. They are matte, not gloss so no smudging issues

8:17 What I do after making a selection and applying smoothing or whatever whatever else, is to choose Contract, by 1 pixel. It brings your selection in just by that amount, which means less cleaning up around the eges, because no path of a selection will ever be perfect unless you're zoomed waaaaay in and are creating the path yourself.

Can you explain what is the point of getting 4800 DPI scanner if I can scan only in 600 dpi?
@SandraEide7 ай бұрын
On the Epson scanning settings on your computer you can change the mode to photo mode which will give you all of the DPI settings. In photo mode you can scan up to 9600 dpi using the V600 and in document mode you can scan up to 1200 dpi. This video is a bit older and I hadn't played with all of the settings yet but have found out the higher dpi capabilities later on. However for my prints I still usually only use 600 dpi at most and find that to be a great setting for me. Hope that helps. (:

@SandraEide7 ай бұрын
It depends on what you're painting but I usually paint on an 8.5x11 inch sheet of watercolor paper and scan in it at 300 dpi or 600 dpi if you want to size them larger.

@@SandraEide Multiple pieces on one sheet? Or one piece on each sheet? I usually paint more pieces on one sheet if they're simple, like loose florals, etc.
@SandraEide7 ай бұрын
@@yvonned3557 yes me too. I often paint multiple smaller sized florals on one page, each flower being 1-2 inches. I'm all for saving money on paper because watercolor paper can be a bit more expensive so use every inch of space you can.
