If they are going to charge, convict, and jail the pilot then they need to do so with the person(s) who gave him the map of the runway that were missing the forest and didn't designate the proper runway. You know, I keep fuses and extra bulbs in my vehicle in case I experience trouble on the road. Everytime I watch this episode I want to scream, "For crying out loud, do you not keep at least a few extra replacement bulbs for the most critical indicator/warning lights in the cockpit?" For want of a $12 light bulb a tragic crash occurred. And what happened to taking a run by the tower so they could look for deployed landing gear. I know the airport is busy, but to send a huge aircraft out to hold over the Everglades til the problem is sorted seems a recipe for disaster. Spare parts people, they'll save your life. RIP Bob and all those who died. Godspeed to the survivors and heroes who put the wellbeing of others before their own.
