Infinite Wealth is Awesome (spoilers)

Marc did a month and a half long Yakuza/Like A Dragon arc on stream and the main event, Infinite Wealth dropped, he crushed it within a week and is confident in saying that despite its scummy NG+ mode pay-walling, it confirms that Ryu-Ga Gotoku Studio is one of the best developers in the industry, when it comes to both game design and character writing.

I'm on the final chapter now and I've been loving this game. So much content and stuff to do. The Hawaii setting was a nice change in my opinion. I'm glad they improved on the combat system to allow you to actually move around to a degree. Yakuza Like a Dragon was my first Yakuza game and then I went back and played a bunch of the other ones. Love this series now. Overall this game is a blast. Good shit Marc (and Jojo).

Finished chapter 11 and have so many ideas for future games. The most obvious one is a new Judgment game. When it comes to gameplay, a refinement and iteration of Lost Judgment's gameplay would be great. I'd add the personality stats from LaD and IW as well as long-form playable courtroom cutscenes where you can earn bonus stats, money, and experience for making sound decisions and playing efficiently. Next would be Kiwami 3, which would be a remake of Yakuza 3 using the Dragon Engine. Nothing much to say here. If it does well, Kiwami 4 might be a good idea too. Kiwami 5 is less necessary because 5 already runs on the excellent Kiwami engine that also powers 0 and Lost Paradise. Like a Dragon Origins: Kazama and Like a Dragon Origins: Arakawa would also kick ass, with the former being a beat 'em up and the latter being a JRPG. It'd be fun to give them a bit of an old school flare to reflect their status as prequels. And last, Street of Rage X, a Dragon Engine Streets of Rage game with both 2D and 3D beat'em up combat and a lot of vehicle-based content, such as Lost Paradise-style vehicle exploration, the ability to level up and invest in a police car, the return of Pocket Racer (why not), and some sort of car-centred side game, perhaps combining running a garage and building a hot rod that you can enter in competitions and shit. As for Like a Dragon 9, I'd love to see cards and gambling take centre stage, both in the story and in the side-content. Maybe have Hong Kong or Macao as one of the cities and a heavier focus on Chinese crime syndicates in the plot. An Asian poker tour with stops in Japan, China, and Hawaii could be a fun side game.

I’ve not played any of the Judgement games, but I have purchased them both now (thank you recent steam sale) and am going to work through them when I’m finished my Yakuza 0 replay - great ideas for Kiwami 3 and 9! I finished 3 and it’d be awesome if they did a full blown remake of it. Macao and a triad centric story would be awesome for 9, especially with how well Dragon engine does neon lights 😂 though sadly, I hear IW is the last game they’re using DE for and are switching to UE5

I just finished the main story yesterday and spent some extra time wrapping up the Hawaii and Yokohama underground dungeons, unfortunately I didn't know about the locked new game + issue until after I bought the game otherwise I would have probably just bought the basic version of the game, but aside from that, this was an awesome game

Yeah it sucks they did that - I’m happy I have it due to wanting to play again with the Japanese voices and being able to skip the grind, but Sega needs to be the opposite of Nintendo, not worse 😂

@@MarcTheCyborg Awesome job on the Infinite Wealth videos by the way, there were a few parts in the game where we had the same reaction like that "Holy Sh*t" moment when the shark suddenly appears and takes out one of Dwight's gang just before the boat battle lol

I'm so used to only hearing your voice, on efap and the forge, that I was legit kind of surprised that you had a head with like a face and stuff. . . The internet is weird. Kinda like during the coof and someone pulled down their mask like, "My god you have a lower half of your face!?" IRL is weird too I guess. Or maybe I'm the weird one. . . Whatever, cute dogs though.
