The Namdhari Sikhs have their own guruship line which is still running. That's why he's reciting as twelfth Gobind. They kind of don't have faith in the Guruship as established by Sh Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

I do not believe that the Namdhari Leaders are a legitimate continuation of the Gurgaddi, as we are all well aware that the Gurgaddi was given to the Shri Guru Granth Sahib and to the Khalsa. Despite this, the Namdhari Leaders are learned, and spiritual men. Their cause has historically made great sacrifices for the Sikh Community. They were an integral part in fighting against British Imperialism.

Hi it's from the Sri Gorindnama which like the Karninama was composed by Guru Gobind Singh Ji, you can find it quiet easily.

Bhai gurmeet singh shants rendition is a padtaal composition he created himself. Whereas, this is a padtaal composition that has been in circulation since olden times. I suggest you maybe also check out bhai taba, the legend himself singing this composition

The guy’s entire personality revolves around gatekeeping and pulling others down. In the Indian classical fraternity, he’s considered a total joke. I’ve met so many high-level artistes who think even less of kirtan after talking to him. Take this one incident-at the Darbar Festival, he claimed he was going to sing Jaijaivanti. Ended up singing everything except Jaijaivanti and made a complete fool of himself. Same festival, he tried to demonstrate the ‘oldest South Asian gharana’ on Jori, and bro, the entire front row of Pandits and Ustaads walked out within the first five minutes-including legends like Pt. Swapan Chaudhary and Pt. Shankar Ghosh. And let’s not even go far-his own students have admitted that his compositions only make sense on paper. They’re practically impossible to execute, which is why he doesn’t even play the Jori to teach. He just recites stuff and leaves it at that. And this is the same guy claiming he’s the reason Gurbani Kirtan parampara still exists. Like, seriously? What would we have done without the great Baldeep Singh? 😂

Rababi composition are those which are sung traditionally from the time of Guru Arjan dev ji especially by the darbari Rababi’s in Guru Arjan dev ji ‘s darbar many of most of compositions are mainly dhrupad style mainly created or carried from their heritage of their respected elders And it’s a common practice that the coming generations also who have become the masters create new compositions [like the dhuni’s are inspired by bhai taba ji’ s. Video recording But were also sung at times of fifth guru so actually telling that where and from which time the composition have come from is difficult but Important is to present or preserve the composition and represent it to the new generation which is very well done by The namdhari’s ] thank you A.S Brar

Unless you can cite specific elders or sources, this assumption overlooks the significant contributions of other streams of ragis and Gursikhs who sang alongside Rababis and learned directly from the Guru Sahibs. @@KirtanAnmolRatan About you just said The Gursikh the ragis (likewise them the rababis were also staying with the sikh guru’s and also learned with them alongside keeping their own composition’s ). Like example of Bhai Mardana ji Who accompanied Guru Nanak Dev ji but why is that he was chosen. Because bhai mardana knew Musical instrument already (the rubab) and was a master of it and the music subject itself but was humble indeed why guru Nanak ji took him as his company. And throughout the travel he must have had learnt many things from Guru Nanak dev ji including music and knowledge about the (creation) . But here is an interesting thing “Is it that Guru Nanak dev ji had created any new raga ?” Yes because he was a Master like no one in the world and never will someone be as great as him but it’s is a simple logic. “ that Guru Nanak ji also used the old ragas we know from the vedas but created many of marvellous composition in them . it means that the composition was created and popularised by Bhai Taba Ji, but it is still sung by other ragis and are in gurmat sangeet books such as gurmat sangeet sagar

@@sroysinghwhat is the source of this being Bhai Taba composition. It’s an old composition which was sung by other ragis (not rababi stream as well). Bhai Avtar Singh and Bhai Gurcharan Singh have sung this too and their first two antra’s are slightly different rest same composition.

A namdhari ustaad suggested to me that it was actually just the famous bhimpalasi khayal bandish, Ja ja re apane mandirwa. If you listen to both they do sound very similar so maybe that’s where Bhai Taba got the “idea” from for this bandish 🤷🏽‍♂️
