Please don't cut your zip ties/ cable ties like shown in the video. The tool is called a "flush cutter" for a reason. Cut the excess cable all the way flush. If you've ever been stabbed or sliced open by an improperly cut cable tie you will understand. Other than that, a brilliant video.

They're neat machines. Obviously quite capable in a lot of different roles. I'd say the ace up their sleeve is the software, which looks much simpler than mucking about in Fusion and trying to get outputs to play nice with whichever CNC router you happen to use. The only real stumbling block is the price. Even on sale, I just can't justify spending that kind of money on something as cumbersome when services like pcbway, easyeda, and digikey's pcb manufacture marketplace exist, integrate seamlessly into the manufacturing process, and allow me to spend a couple days of lead time working on back-burner projects instead of dealing with a machine and all the inevitable frustrations that will come with it, the maintenance, buying the tooling, etc. I guess if you're a retired EE with plenty of disposable funds, and just want to stay in the game making one-offs and batches of five or ten of something, like Christmas gifts or doodads to sell at the town art fair, it's probably better than listening to your wife nag you about whatever. First time you have to do 25 or 50 of something you're going to pull out what's left of your hair before throwing that machine out in the driveway and running it over with your car.

Quick question: in my new home I have a T87RF thermostat, which is connected to a BDR91 receiver for controlling the floor heating system. The thermostat is properly connected to the receiver (I can see the Wifi-like icon on the display of the thermostat). However, the leds of the receiver are as follows, even if I putting the desired temperature on the thermostat to 0 degrees: - Green led: always on - Red led: blinking What does it mean?

Excellent presentation. I love and collect novelty lighting. I was going to just buy an infinity light but I can't find a really large one - I want it to be like 4 x 4, and if I found one that big it would probably retail for $500 or more, but I could make one for a tenth of that and probably enjoy doing so. I'm thinking I would make it extra deep and have the front panel actually be a door that opens so that various objects (perhaps illuminated ones) could be placed inside and made "infinite". I could also do this without routing and without a miter saw (since I don't have those particular tools). Dowling seems unnecessary also - just toe screw the corners, apply wood putty, sand and paint. Should also have the standard remote control features that generally come with tape lighting for color/behavior changes.

You really want front silvered mirrors to get the best infinity mirror effect. It may be that using one half silvered and one full silvered set of film and two pieces of ordinary glass could give better results because you don't get attenuation and reflections from the glass.

We do it exactly vice versa in Czechia, we have phase in left hole for some reason, probably some relict of the past, but everyone is used to it. One would expect the same wiring when it's the same socket, but nope, everything is different in other countries even when it looks the same.

For anyone else struggling like I was, search for video 'How to rebind a Honeywell CM927 thermostat' on the MWPHS channel. It worked first time for me even though I had a different Honeywell thermostat. It contains all the steps you need as this video doesn't show them all.

That cable is too thin.
@PidalinАй бұрын
Cable is fine, it's copper and if you will actually transfer 16A thru it, connections will be the first thing to fail, not cable itself. But yeah, for transporting 16A permanently, I would use probably thicker cable. If it's less than 2000W, it should be fine. You rarelly see thicker cables in European appliances and it's all rated up to 16A.

Wonderful, thank you. Did I hear 50W iron? How many mm solder? Thank you! Are the soldering speeds real time or accelerated? Why do we need to clean with a flux cleaner (what do you recommend) before the digital displays? I did this kit several times and always had problems. Why did you have to look at digital displays with magnifying glass??

A laser burns it, so it depends on the type of foam and whether it creates any hazards in the process.

I'm interested in cutting sheets of mild steel 0.75mm is this machine good for that? also looking to compare it with Nymolabs NBS-6040 it also has Linear Rails & Ball Screws on Every Axis but not closed loop like this.
@techydiy2 ай бұрын
Yes with the right tooling you can cut sheet steel but If you are doing it in a professional capacity then you would probably use a laser, plasma or waterjet.
