@jabbra18372 сағат бұрын
Why not? Plenty of games manage to do it quite fine without banging it on the nose.
@mK_DxСағат бұрын
@@jabbra1837 Waste of resources and time. The more time spent accommodating every little detail to make everyone happy, is time not spent developing the game, you know, the reason people play, the game. Most of the people accommodated also don't buy the game, hence why such games have a very high chance of flopping.
@jabbra1837Сағат бұрын
@@mK_Dx yes, and I do agree. A very recent example would be Dustborn. A game so woke, even the far left couldn't decide if it was satire or not. But these games are not the norm, they are outliers. As I said, putting a female character into a game that shows some bravery (like Sadie in RD2, or Lara Croft) is not "woke", it's just the story. It's inclusive, but it's not banging you on the head with a moral message. Inclusivity in a game takes no more effort than programming a game without it. NPCs are NPCs no matter what dialogue choices / character designs they are given.

@@mK_Dx I don’t want inclusivity. I want a good game made no matter how we get there. There is an audience for everything. Groups like this serve a purpose, if done right. This group is not done right. I believe it was intended to help people choose their games but expectantly became used as a tool to demonize a demographic. There are zero checks and balances there is little moderation in the community which creates a pressure cooker. I also want us all to be good to each other.

I played all of the Space Quest and Hero's Quest / Quest for Glory games, and a smattering of the others. HQ2/QFG2 is probably the richest in terms of side quests, hidden secrets, surprising things you can do or ask people, different ways to accomplish things, etc. The typing parser allows a lot more freedom than point-and-click, which though easier, really narrowed down the breadth of the worlds. Top three for me are HQ2/QFG2, Space Quest 3, the Colonel's Bequest. Great games.

Woke is just marxist social engineering. It's bad. Always. I support groups like this one that are performing a service, in helping gamers avoid inadvertently financially supporting woke trash. Body type A and body type B are not good things to put into games. Wokeness in itself isn't necessarily a problem. The forced placement of it is. Is the list perfect? Hell no. Does the list contain dumb entries as you showed? Yes. Does the list contain legitimate entries that you skipped over? Yes. Looking beyond this particular individual's list, if a game's focus is wokeness, a common symptom is that game itself is going suffer because it takes backseat to "the message", such as The Veilguard's world immersion. Many of these devs and consulting groups go out of their way on social media to trash their customer base too.
