Is your aftermarket wind deflector that's on the windscreen work and worth the cost. I just bought a used Bandit 1250 and the wind hits the helmet visor. A part # would be great.

@kevwales1 I fitted the Lexteks a couple of weeks ago and have been out for a few rides 😀 I have to use the baffles (Euro 5) but tbh they would be too loud without them in place 🙉 I find at idle speed the noise level is actually not that much more than standard which avoids annoying my neighbours when I wheel the bike out. Once on the street, however, that's a different story, they sound amazing!!

ive just sold my honda nc700x... it was getting too tall , felt like riding a mx bike and the missus struggling to get on back.. 47bhp i found it fast enough.. ive just bought the 650 interceptor the mag wheel one in dark blue black... im 58 now.. had all the bikes over the years.. found i now detest full face helmets.. and over 70mph the wind noise annoys me.. we love plodding back lanes looking for cake shops and rivers to stop on a bench with a cuppa and watch the world go by.. im looking forward to a rattly air/oil cooled bike to chug around on.. we quite enjoy watching the younger bikers do all the fast stuff..ive been there and done it all....

Bought mine and drove it 973miles back home. It is a maxi touring scooter. So comfortable, so easy to drive. good mpg, if you have the correct air pressure in tires. I adore this bike. It can do almost everything. Cheap to run, go around traffic, no tollbooth and free parking where its specified. I live in North of Norway, so om also going to be driving in winter. I think i will make a vlog or blog or something. 😊

I like you being honest when you say it's not your cup of tea to ride 70kph on the highway. I agree that would get tiring. But, for daily commuting in the city which is my intended use of this bike when I'll buy it, what do you think? How ready is it right out fm the factory & what changes do you think I'll have to make (necessary ones) to use it for a long time daily as my main commuter?

Hi Kev agree with your comments on the price of some secondhand bikes , I've been getting Classic Bike magazines for as long as I can remember, the prices have gone ridiculous, I've owned a B M W K75c for 16 years , and if I put it up for sale I would realistically expect about £1.500 but in my mag its worth £2500 , but I'm downsizing shortly and would be getting a 350 Royal enfield because I need something lighter now getting it in and out of our back garden has become a chore , anyway love your bike and video , stay enjoying what you do , stay shiny side up 😊

Thanks for the comments Carl , since making this video I think the bubble is about to bust, I managed to find another bike from a dealer with realistic prices , it cost me the same price as what the dealer near me wanted for same bike only difference was I got a bike 6 years newer,2 dealers near me are just busting to the doors with unsold bikes so how long they can keep that up I don't know, good choice of bike your downsizing to they to me are probably Enfield's best looking bike so far , enjoy 👍

I bought my INT 650 a couple of months before you got yours and now have over 9,000 miles on it. For all the reasons you outlined, I love my bike. I bought it because I wanted it to remind me of owning and riding my beloved 1966 Triumph 650 and in all respects it fills the bill. I love doing my own work on bikes and even have an adapter for monitoring the ECU with a scanner (no need for it so far). I had a lot of stalling and starting problems, so I cleaned that white grease off the relay sockets and replaced all of them with SPST Bosh relays which have pretty much eliminated my electrical problems. I did add horizontal bottle style mufflers (to improve the sound and the retro, 60's Triumph, look) and I replaced the seat with a "touring" seat, but the bike is no touring machine and after an hour or so my tail starts to hurt. It will go all day at 75 MPH, but here in the US, 85 is the new 65. One thing I did, which I consider very important, is I replaced the front turn signals single circuit sockets with dual circuit sockets and the lamps with very bright orange LEDS. I removed, replaced and rewired the sockets so that lights are lit brightly while running and light much brighter when turning. I believe that this extra lighting has already alerted several cars who were about to turn in front of me. My only problem (now not a problem) is the bike is/was too tall for my very short legs, but I've developed a lot of strength in my toes and can now "flat toes" when at a stop. Here in Central Coast California I ride nearly every day it is decent out and, although I ride moderately, I've already gone through a set of tires. Regardless of price, this is the bike for me, that it was so incredibly affordable is just a very nice treat.

Great content Kev, does the addition of the Lextec pipes also cool the engine? I live in Cyprus and we get really hot weather here up in the 40's Today it was around 34 and the heat coming from the engine was roasting and that was on the highway at around 100 kilometers per hour. Thanks mate.
@kevwales1 Жыл бұрын
Yes they help the engine breath better , plus the other benefit is the slip-on exhaust do not get that hot , I'm able to touch them a couple mins after turning bike off , no more melted souls from carrying a passenger 👍
@andreastomblin2137 Жыл бұрын
@kevwales1 thanks a lot Kev, I think I will invest in the Lextec pipes just love the sound, not to load just right and if the engine heat lowers that's a plus. Ride safe mate!

@@kevwales1 Mostly the blind spot for the on headlamp is most dangerous at night. I had a little Aprilia 125 with this headlight setup and nearly got hit on two occasions. I believe they do it because of electric output its cheaper to do it this way. my current bike is a 2015 Vstrom and its a twin headlight and brilliant visibility. .
