the sound of a 270 degree twin through a set of nice pipes.. so good. The 650cc fairly short stroked twin has more power potential.. I think BHP tuning store in UK put a new set of free flow pipes ,, a remap of the ECU and a high performance air filter and got 20% more horsepower on the dyno (49.2 bhp).. That is impresssive without direct modifications on the engine it self..

They do sound good, even better than video sounds , I’m a bit gutted I’ve gone back to original exhausts only because I use the bike for work and being a noisy neighbour lol enjoy them 👍

@kevwales1 I fitted the Lexteks a couple of weeks ago and have been out for a few rides 😀 I have to use the baffles (Euro 5) but tbh they would be too loud without them in place 🙉 I find at idle speed the noise level is actually not that much more than standard which avoids annoying my neighbours when I wheel the bike out. Once on the street, however, that's a different story, they sound amazing!!

Just fitted the same to my 650, love the sound. How did you secure the heat shield/ cover? 2 hooks on the inside of the shield but only one loop on the exhaust?

Hi , you put the small hook under the exhaust clamp and then tighten it up 👍

Great content Kev, does the addition of the Lextec pipes also cool the engine? I live in Cyprus and we get really hot weather here up in the 40's Today it was around 34 and the heat coming from the engine was roasting and that was on the highway at around 100 kilometers per hour. Thanks mate.

Yes they help the engine breath better , plus the other benefit is the slip-on exhaust do not get that hot , I'm able to touch them a couple mins after turning bike off , no more melted souls from carrying a passenger 👍

@kevwales1 thanks a lot Kev, I think I will invest in the Lextec pipes just love the sound, not to load just right and if the engine heat lowers that's a plus. Ride safe mate!

Hi Kev, nice sound. I agree with you that baffles should remain in the exhaust. A couple of quetions: are these exhaust lighter than the original? And, can you tell as their price? Thanks and good roads for you.

Hi Kev, the seat is a real big improvement on stock , I'm happy on it all day, I'm only changing it for a custom seat because of wife arse is that wide ,there is not enough room for it lol joking apart , I'd recommend it all day long 👍

Slipon sounds good and have BASS .. I guess in 3rd gear when you slow down Turbo Whistle sound is lost. Here INDIA we cannot put loud slip on. If caught by Police big fine. Rest even in stock Bike is really good and have performed really good and met my expectation while riding in Leh Ladhak, Himalayan ranges, Tropical and heavy rains. Most important easy to maintain and cost is very low compared to others.

Just purchased one here in Australia and should be in sometime this week and was going to get the same mufflers, so I'm guessing it's okay to swap them around on a euro 5 I take it then..? hearing so many different stories about doing mods on a euro 5 and do's and don't s

Yes , mine is euro5 just let the bike tick over for 10 to 15 mins before reving it , I did 150 mile run yesterday , it runs so much better ,I have the DN air filter fitted as well 👍

Hi Simone, I did a bit of research and found with the baffle left in , the sound was not to offensive, plus stainless steel and mid range price all helped with the decision 👍

Bike colour great. But those pipes. The joint cover is not good and fixing bracket is just aweful. For a littke more the AEW are so much better and worth the few quid extra in my honest opinion. Sound wise they are all pretty much the same.
