It's a shame that the majority of car drivers seem to think if they go up against a truck they will win, I've been a trucker over 20 years and people's attitudes haven't really changed over time unfortunately.

The services at Chirk are called Gledrid services. Used to pull 17ft wide modular houses out of a factory in Newtown in the early hours of a Sunday, park them up at Gledrid, then take them up to Alva, near Stirling. 4 At a time every Tuesday for 6 months.

I checked out the factory on the old Google, place looks like a ghost town but theres still bridge sections just lay on the floor. Such a shame. The place even has a rail link.

I've done that out here in California helping load steam locomotives on semi trailers it takes a lot of work to build the ramp and the cribbing under the ramp but that's the most critical part to make sure you have a successful load
